Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lousy Customer Support Bought the Philips 40PFL4609 model TV today. Struggled to make it work. To view cable channels, this TV has to be programmed, as one expects with a Smart TV. Autoprogram did not work though I tried 3 times, the third time while on the phone with Philips' Customer Support. Customer Support rep I spoke to was unhelpful, apathetic and sounded too bored to talk to me. He was also ignorant about the connections on the back of this TV. So I called Best Buy from whom I had bought this TV set. Luckily, they were able to tell me that I needed to choose Video as the viewing mode and that I did not even need to autoprogram the TV. Their suggestions worked.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This tv sucks , worse tv I’ve ever bought ! I think this is the worse tv ever , u can’t get any apps on it for Canada and non of the U.S.A. Or other countries apps r supported in Canada , so I’ve spent money on a tv that I can only use two apps on it , I would not recommend this smart tv to anyone unless u live in the U.S.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from SUCKS! I now see why the tv was discontinued. The manual has virtually no instructions. Customer service is non existent. can't find any any useful info anywhere on line. Avoid this tv of you want to use it for internet tv!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Connectivity issues My internet runs at 34.4MBPS; this "smart" TV has difficulty even finding the network, and when it does, it tests out at (max) 1.8MBPS, and most often at 1.0MBPS or LESS. I have used my laptop to check the network, placing it within 2 inches of the TV, front and back, and the laptop has no trouble hooking up at the full 34.4; so why does this supposedly network enabled TV speed-check at one-thirtieth (less than 4%) of full network speed? Either I've got a bad unit, or the network switcher inside the TV is just badly engineered.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 2 apps only I purchased my TV almost 2 years ago. Its sound system was faulty. Returned my TV next day. on TV box it says multiple apps but actually it has only 2 apps, Netflix & YouTube. Philips own app gallery is empty. so disappointed with my purchase. not recommending any one. not worth my $.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great TV but needs more apps for Canada and Mexico This TV is great but there are very few apps available if you're not in the U.S. The Wireless Connect does not support Windows 10 or devices for mirroring. Picture quality is great and sound is pretty good for onboard speakers. I'm glad I purchased this product. Love Philips

Rated 3 out of 5 by from eh I bought this tv for the smart tv aspect. Theres only one app on it, Netfix, and the wireless connect doesn't work on my computer despite it far exceeding the requirements. The USB port on the back has very limited use. Good picture but dont buy if you're looking for a smart tv

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Second identical TV purchase due to the outstanding features of the original. Up and running in 20 minutes. I love being able to broadcast from my laptop to both TV,s at the same time. I no longer need my old A/V amp which saves energy. That's 2 energy robbing TV,s gone and an AMP. PERFECT.
