Rated 1 out of 5 by from For a $200+ Toothbrush it is not built to last Handle is extremely slippery when wet especially with toothpaste suds around it and has an odd uneven balance weight wise. So eventually I dropped it once from about 3 feet off the ground cause I missed my vanity and it never worked the same way again. Vibration became soo weak that when not in contact with anything it vibrated but the minute I placed it gently to my teeth the vibration stops. How annoying is that! Not durable at all! How was this built for travel? not easy to grip in use, not made to last. Just looks good, that's about it with a sleek design but not practical at all. Buy something else unless all you care about is looks. I bought this barely a year ago and it's already failed. I hope Phillips actual serious medical equipment is made far better than this.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from two replacements and now without a functioning toothbrush i too have had two replacements within the timeframe of my warranty. after my second issue with the replacement, i was told "that was my last courtesy replacement". same issue both handles. it all of a sudden starts turning on by itself and running through all of the different brushing options until it finally exhausts all of its battery power. not to be able to be used again. i can't say i am impressed with the lack of quality. i too, clean it after each use, always travel with it in it's case. for the price it is definitely not worth me purchasing another philips product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stopped working suddenly? Not sure how long this is supposed to last before you purchase a new one, but it was fine for the first year and a half, then stopped working out of nowhere. Aren't these things made to last, which is why it's so expensive? Anyway, not sure it's worth the value.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from 2 years and it's defective Pros cleans very well, has lights on the panel, has wireless charging, long battery life Cons faulty mechanism after 2 years, tin foil on the bottom peels off easily, button gets stuck easily, Philips' customer support service is very poor.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too expensive. I used a much less costly model of Sonicare for 9 years and was very pleased with the results and longevity. My dental hygienist recommended staying with Sonicare. I had this impression that a more costly model would be even better. Silly consumer. I have had the DiamondClean for two months. The brush is not brushing when pressed against the teeth. I have severe plaque build up and gum problems. The handle has become unbearably noisy - clacks. I will buy Sonicare again, but a less expensive model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Tooth Brush Cleans teeth very well as I have tested it by flossing after brushing, and there is next to no food particles on floss. I have been using Sonicare tooth brushes since November 2000. My Dental Hygienist has always said that I am her easiest client as I floss daily and brush my teeth carefully ensuring healthy gums. I tell her thanks to my Phillips toothbrush my teeth and gums are this great. The new brush head style is awful, very noisy loud vibration. Please go back to the old style where you have the coloured rings and the brush stem is one solid piece.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Basically a disposable product The toothbrush is great while it works, but it basically does not last. After a couple of years the seals wear out, water gets into the electronics and the brush dies. This is not about the battery. The battery will still be holding charge just fine, when one day the whole brush will just stop working. For a top of the line toothbrush that costs many hundreds of dollars, this is just unacceptable. Built in obsolescence is great for Philips. But forcing customers to buy a new brush every two years is quite excessive.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Diamond Clean Head Electric Toothbrush I am disappointed that it does not meet expectations as I had another brand that gave out after 15 years. The rave was to buy Philips but the cost is much more compared to other brands of excellent quality. The spindle holding the brush has loosened and the sound is amplified that you need ear plugs to use it. Very disappointed!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this product My teeth feel so clean after using the Sonicare. This is my third one and each one was better than the last. Easy to use and definitely like the new features as to the use of the Sonicare.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Love the three different levels of cleaning to choose from and the ease of use. Wonderful Product. My teeth felt cleaner after the first few uses. I thought I had relatively white teeth but after using the toothbrush for two weeks I noticed that my teeth were even whiter...it removes surface stains better than I had thought possible without bleaching. I also need to mention the wonderful customer service. Although my husbands toothbrush worked fine, after a few weeks my brush head would come off while brushing my teeth. I called phillips and they sent me a new brush head. When that did not solve the problem, I called back and they determined the problem was with the handle itself. Without any hesitation or run around, they sent me a brand new handle. I was so impressed, I went and bought the toothbrushes for kids.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best system ever - best dental checkup ever!!! I've been suffering from severe gingivitis and was going to need 3 more surgeries to correct it. 2 years ago for a number of reasons I stopped seeing my periodontist but went back today for a cleaning and reassessment. I was fully prepared to have to get back to where I was 2 years ago - but - after using this toothbrush for about 1 1/2 years, the dentist told me that my gums have healed, the "pockets" have closed up and I no longer need the other surgeries. I just need to keep doing what I have been doing and have quarterly cleanings! I have had the best checkup ever and I owe it to this toothbrush. I will never use anything else. I am so pleased to have good oral health again - thank you!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great while it worked Loved the sleek modern design in black. The carrying case is great for travelling and being able to charge via USB eliminates any bulky chargers since I can plug my case into my laptop. Brush was recommended by my dentist and we both agree that the brushing action is great. Design is great but as mentioned before me, the button is very easy to depress while holding the brush. Thankfully, the brush is smart enough to resume from where it left off (in terms of its internal timer) when powered back on immediately. My biggest problem is the fact that my brush stopped working after 2 years. It powers up but the action is so weak that it doesn't vibrate the brush.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bad Design I had this toothbrush for approximately 2 years. It was great until it stopped charging. The rubber gasket at the top of the toothbrush where the head attaches cracked and allowed water into the chamber, destroying this very expensive toothbrush. Poor design.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good brush but breaks as soon as warranty is over I love this toothbrush, it dose excellent job, but I had a few of them and they break shortly after the warranty is expired. The last one I bought stopped working after a year, I called the company and they sent me a new one, but this one stopped working after 1 year and 3 months, I called them again, but the answer was that all together I got it working for more than 2 years. So, no replacement. That's OK, but shouldn't they work a little more than 1 or 2 years? This is a very expensive toothbrush and I think quality should be much better.
