Chalk full of glitches
This TV is awful. It worked fine for 5 months but now we have to manually connect to the internet every single time that we turn the tv on. The Netflix app stopped working all together four days ago. Everytime I try to watch a title it gets a few minutes in and then says that Netflix is having trouble playing this title. I don't have these problem with any other devices in my home (laptops or cell phones). I can't cast on to the tv from a device that actually works either.

I just received my 55" Smart TV today, so far I'm very impressed with the ease of setup and the size was wonderful. It was what I was looking for in replacing and upsizing from my last purchase. The features like Netflix, Pandora, TMZ and so many built in apps make me truly happy, if you are looking for a reputable brand, and budget friendly cost then this is a must for you, you won't be disappointed.

Very good value for the money
Most products today provide an over-sharp, almost artificial picture. This Philips TV does not. It is sharp, bright and natural.
This is my second Philips TV, and I have no complaints. It provides very good value for the money. Philips is a highly-respected name worldwide, but almost unknown in North America, which is why I suspect the TV is reasonably priced.

Unfortunately it arrived with a broken screen? The outside of the box looked perfectly fine with no indication it was hit & even the screen itself had no scratch or anything!?! and yet it looked like the screen had been hit with a baseball! LOL! very strange... The store had no replacement unit so I had to take a different brand. Giving it a Neutral score as a result.
I still love my Phillips PC Monitor, the reason I tried to buy a Philips TV, so I would still recommend you give them a chance, theses things happen ;-)
