I've got the Philips AECS7000 speaker in my laptop bag all the time, to get into one of many online meetings I tend to have. I have only used in with USB so far, to minimise setup time. This worked well for me. The mute function does not show up in Lync (pro: can have a background chat without other participants noticing; con:I'm one of the suspects whenever there is an audio loopback)
Note: I'm a Philips employee, but not in any way involved in this product. Write review from personal user perspective

Rated 2 out of 5 by Phil123 People have a hard time hearing me!
People I'm talking to, tell me I sound far away, faint and that I cut out. To avoid this I need to be withing 18 to 20 inches from the speaker. I have to switch to using my phone directly unless I move in close or shout. In a conference call I come through faint and other callers come through at normal volume. People must turn up there speaker phones to here me and then turn them down to listen to other participants. I can't really use the device and will have to look into returning it. What a pain!

Select "forget this device" when it doesn't pair up and then pair it from scratch as if it had never been paired in the first place. It should reconnect then.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Mlogicom Great via USB, useless mic over Bluetooth
This device is:
Great via USB, have achieved a range of 7 metres picked up clearly by the mic with no distortion
Useless via Bluetooth, the speaker works fine but the mic does not pick up anything further than 1m away and sounds very quiet

Microphones noise cancellation is unreliable. Device can also spontaniously start to add volume levels when there is no change in audio enviroment.

Rated 2 out of 5 by iAssist Great Sound, Horrible Microphone
Compact, easy to use, but no one can hear me unless I am less than two feet away. Not sure if my device is defective, but very dissatisfied with conferencing capabilities. Good Bluetooth speaker, but I purchased this for a conferencing tool.
