This has to be the slowest responding device I've ever used. The remote hardly ever responds properly. You can't disable the autoplay of discs. No software updates. The Netflix app is hardly useable. Can't select profiles, the interface is dated, and horrifically slow. I'm glad I bought this for my son's room and not as a main dvd player. The only good thing I can say is that I've hooked up a hard drive and played videos off of it without too many issues.

This is the worst bluray player I've ever seen!! I have owned it for about two and a half years and it quit playing bluray's after one year! It is awful and I would never recommend this product to someone else! I will never buy a Philip's product again because of the poor experience that I have had with this one!

Remote is terrible, button operation fails frequently during use and must be aimed at the floor a foot in front of the player to work at all, and this is with new batteries. Boot up/power on is very slow. HDMI works correctly. Front USB port is a plus.

I received this as a gift and it has only been a headache. The remote control is my biggest complaint. Even with brand new batteries it rarely works. Sure, it has a button to connect you directly to your Netflix or Vudu account, but what good is the button if the sensor doesn't register that you've pressed it (5 times)? Not to mention the fact that I have to unplug the player and plug it back in because it freezes almost every time I use it. Please do not waste your time or money and do not give this as a gift to anyone you actually care about. This player is cheap and absolutely worthless.

Remote won't work unless your stright on. My prayer I go to turn off and the off stay on the screen and won't do anything. I have to unplug it to rest and then it works.
I called customer care center and they are replacing the dvd player.
I will say this, great customer service

Product has performed well with the exception of a software update glitch in the firmware. It took two efforts by their customer service to finally get software to me that correctly updated the software. On my second contact they admitted being aware of update problems. Why didn't they identify the known problem on their website? Player is now updated and working great.

...I've definitely enjoyed the Blu-Ray player, namely for its accessibility to my Netflix account, which I also enjoy very much. It also allows me to multi-task, whereby my computer doesn't have to be my source for movie watching and/or instant streaming.

Rated 1 out of 5 by DarkDan Won't even upgrade - won't save Wi-Fi settings
I just received this and was looking forward to a movie night. 5 hours later, the device won't update to the latest version of the software. The download fails, and for some reason it won't allow a USB upgrade DESPITE the fact that I am following the instructions to the letter.
Meanwhile, it won't save my WiFi settings, so I have to re-enter a password constantly. Terrible product, terrible design. DO NOT BUY.
