My husband bought this for me as a Christmas gift. I mainly used it to listen to music on my iPod. I liked that it automatically synced the time. I never had to set it. The sound quality was awesome. I could get it really loud. I was a little bummed when iPhone changed the charging ports on their products. I thought I wouldn't be able to use it, but I found an adapter and it works with my iPhone 6s.

Nice sound, but I don't use it for listening to music. My phone is easier to use and more convenient. The time is readable in the dark. The alarm works, but any function beyond turning on and off is not intuitive.

My iPad can charge via the dock but that's all, speakers won't connect cause it's not supported by the new system. Very unfortunate. Connect the speakers with another product and you'll be able to enjoy it fully.

Have owned this unit for a couple of years. Unit worked fine until recent iOS update. Now, when connected the following message is displayed on the iPhone: THIS ACCESSORY IS NOT SUPPORTED BY IPHONE. I use both an iPhone 4 and 5s. Can no longer synch or play music/radio apps from iPhone when docking with Philips, model DC291/37. Have tried to contact Philips support but to no avail: Phones or 'chat' do not work.

I'm registering this unit since it's a replacement for the first one I bought. The display on the first unit slowly went dim and then disappeared after 3 months. I contacted Customer Service and performed a power off/ reset protocol. This helped but the display slowly went dim again. After sending 4 different versions of the sales receipt/ shipping document I received a return authorization and a shipping tag. After three weeks I received this new unit as a replacement. We'll see how this one holds up.

Thought this was great when got for Christmas one year ago...however, an iPad is quite difficult to put on the charger--have to line it up just right and usually took me many many attempts.
Also had a major issue with volume control. For some crazy reason, when the alarm is set to radio and you don't get to it right away, the volume keeps increasing little by little on its own until it is eventually at full blast! Came home one day to a blaring radio (ridiculous)--does not need to get that loud.
Now for the last straw: of course just one week past the one year warranty, all of a sudden the LCD display quits working all together. SO the docking station still works, the radio still works, but I cannot tell what time it is nor what station I am listening to, and I can no longer use it for an alarm clock...would love to keep it still, but alarm 2 is stuck on permanently and absolutely will not shut off so I can't even keep the thing plugged in all the time. For the price, I rather expected this to last more than one year and one week!

I originally had one in a hotel room and loved. Upon coming home I went on the web and found how to get one. I love it. It just works. I put my iPhone on the connection and press the power button. Sound quality is good and have not had any problems with the connection. I have other docks that now gather dust. Whereas I use this every day.
