Rated 5 out of 5 by RobertaJ Great Small unit
This is my 4th Saeco automatic coffee maker and my favorite so far. It has a small footprint (important in my kitchen) and has worked flawlessly since delivery. I make coffee only for myself, I've rarely had guests who wanted coffee. The capacity is great for 1-2 people. Patience would be required for more.
1. the coffee bean reserve works great and feeds the beans down to the grinder better than any of my other models. While it doesn't hold much (2-3 days worth only), I don't mind refilling it as much as I did the other machines.
2. When I had a problem with it not turning on, Customer Support was awesome! Turned out to be a tripped breaker and not the machine at all.
I have only two small cons:
1. the on/off switch is very stiff with no tactile feedback as to whether it's been switched on or off; have to check the lights to confirm.
2. the steam wand does not swing quite far enough out of the way of the water vessel. I would have like to see it swing 90 degrees to full horizontal. It doesn't really impede movement of the water vessel, but even after nearly a year of use, I still expect it to. It's a perception that I can't shake.

Rated 4 out of 5 by GEN1957 Good Product for the Money
We have used this product about 3 weeks now and have to say that it produces very good expresso. It took a little to get used to the operation of the unit but after a few times referencing the user manual, all is well. The only con is the warning lights for low water and other such things are not well marked. Other than that, I would recommend this unit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Rocketrod Seaco Xsmall Review
I previously owned the Seaco Vienna for about 9 years and really enjoyed the machine. When it quite working I decided to purchase another Seaco and went with the smaller version, the Seaco Xsmall. It is about half the size of the Vienna and seems to have all of the features of the Vienna, yet compact. I have found that after making two lattes, I need to refill the water, add more coffee beans and dump the dredge collector. I have also noticed that I need to prime the machine with water more often.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Tatjana73 Makes good coffee but is not well made
The machine looks good and has nice features but it seems to be poorly made. The fascia plate for the water tank is very poorly attached and probably will give way soon. The on/of button does not always work. The brew group ones removed for cleaning is very hard to reinsert. I just hope the machine will last for a while.

This machine makes great coffee and espresso drinks. There is a learning curve which isn't helped much by the enclosed instruction book. The online help is better, especially when it comes to lubrication.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AZcoffeelover Best "Super Automatic" for the price
I've been using the Saeco Italia every day since 2001. I've been dreading the day when something would go wrong with it. Especially since I am now retired and on a fixed income. I never thought I could afford to replace my super automatic with a newer version. In my research I found the affordable Saeco XSmall. Now that I have used it for several weeks, I am thoroughly impressed and happy with this amazing little machine. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to continue to enjoy my morning espresso.
