The machine is more compact than previous Saeco machines that I have had. It does not remember the "individual" settings that my previous Saeco machine had. I have to adjust for variances from the one primary setting - e.g. warmer, stronger, more or less milk volume, etc. The quality of the machine remains good, however.

This is our second Saeco Super Automatic our first lasted about 6 years hopefully this one will as well. Like any product there are some things which could be improved but overall its a great machine and does what its suppose to do i.e. make great coffee. Although we have very few interactions with Customer Service the calls we made have been handled professionally and the staff has been very helpful.

Rated 1 out of 5 by RichardF Machine arrived broken. Waiting months for replacement.
Our Xprelia Evo was not working correctly when we first received it. When the bean hopper was empty, there was no alert signal and the machine kept attempting to brew. Saeco customer service had us send it to their Livermore repair center (having the product boxed up for shipping cost us about $20 -- Saeco paid for the shipping itself, but not for the packing). Livermore had it for a month, then finally said it could not be repaired and had to be replaced (we only found out by repeated phone calls, since Saeco did not initiate any communication with us). We learned this about 3 weeks ago. Repeated calls to Saeco's customer service line have been unhelpful. They initially said I need to call Livermore. Livermore says I need to call corporate. So finally today corporate tells me it will be another one month before they know when the replacement will be available. So we've been without the machine for 2 months so far. This kind of service is unacceptable. Why the delays? During the two weeks we had the machine before returning it, the coffee and espresso were both very weak, despite making all the appropriate adjustments in the settings. The strongest espresso setting yielded a beverage which could at best be called a reasonably strong cup of coffee.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ElizabethM Suits my needs perfectly!
I did a ton of research with many machines. My reasons for selecting this machine are below.
I'm the only coffee drinker in the house so I didn't need a machine that offered programming for multiple people. This is a great machine for one person because I can set it up exactly the way I want it, without a bunch of extra functions going unused.
I wanted the simplicity of a one-touch machine so I can press a button, finish getting ready for work, and pick up my latte on the way out the door. The self-cleaning milk container makes it really that fast and easy...and the quality of the froth is better than you get most of the time at that ubiquitous coffee chain.
I wanted the option to steam the milk myself - but I wanted a real steam wand rather than panerello. I love that, on days when I have a little more time, I can froth the milk myself and get that perfect thick foam you get at really good coffee houses (it takes practice!)
I’ve only had it for a couple of weeks, but I’m delighted with its performance so far.

It's like have your own Starbucks at home. Easy to use. If you are a coffee lover like us, this is your machine. You need to empty the coffee ground tray every 5 cups. Between two of us, we have to empty the tray on the daily basis. I like my latte hot (160 - 180 degrees#. This machine makes the latte slightly on the cooler side #130 - 140 degrees). The foam amount can't be controlled. The foam tastes great. My husband loves it, but I'd prefer to be slightly less for my liking.
We also use the steam milk function to make kids hot chocolate. Overall, it's a great machine

I've had my Saeco Exprelia Evo for two years now. Still makes great espresso and lattes. My only wish is that the steamed milk from the carafe was hotter. I would give the machine five stars except for the fact that the carafe doesn't produce a steady stream of steamed milk like it did when it was new (It sputters off and on through the cycle). I do all the maintenance religiously so it's not a cleaning issue.
My husband is not tech savy at all so I've programed one of the buttons to make a latte just how my husband likes it. Now all he has to do is push one button. We both really like that feature.

works like a champ, cleaning is easy and so far no problems.
The one thing I wish they were more clear on is what automatic adjustment features it has. I've noticed when I change coffee (I roast my own so very various) sometimes it has a problem and errors out with a message about max brew group pressure. I've noticed though that I just let it retry a couple of times and it seems to adjust. At first when this happened I tried loosening up the grind, which seems like the wrong tactic with this machine.
I believe that it may vary the amount of tamping it does based on flow, so when it detects max pressure next time it'll tamp a little less. Or maybe I'm completely off and for some reason first couple of cups with a new coffee for some odd reason don't dispense well... Either way that's not clear in the manual, just that is automatically adjusts.. so in short don't sweat the grind, let the machine handle it unless you desire more/less extraction.
Lastly, the pucks are to say the least awesome. No worming, evenly wet. The design of this system is IMO top notch.
