The light works well, but the light itself isn't heavy enough. It slides around too easily which I find annoying. Also the product has minimal functionality. It would be nice if I could change the alarm, if it had a radio, if I could hook up my music as the alarm, etc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Diane37 a zen way to wake up
a pleasant way to wake up to warm glow light and sound of birds chirping. I also use it as reading light. good experience overall.
My dog loves it too. He was intrigued when he heard the birds chirping the first time. He sniffed the clock and went back to bed:)

I bought this alarm clock so the winter months would be easier to wake up to. At first, the alarm clock worked like a charm. I was able to get up early and start my day. It didn't take long to find the off button. I've become lazier and the light is not as motivating in the morning. The bird sounds are obnoxious, but if I can figure out how to turn that off and only wake up to the light, I'm thinking that might work for me.
I notice that people were complaining about not having a battery back up. When my power went out, the clock did turn off, but when it came back on, the clock was still set up correctly.

I Thought the wake up light would help me wake up more easily. It didn't work for me. My cousin swears by it, but it's just another alarm that I either turn off or sleep through. Kind of disappointed!

Rated 4 out of 5 by mphillips12000 A more pleasant means of waking
Waking to the glow of this device is a much more gentle way of beginning the day than the abrupt buzz or whine of the typical alarm clock. As an object on the nightstand, the light has a nicely appealing shape and smart looking design. The process of setting the time and alarm is unfortunately entirely typical - a nonintuitive multi-step process of pressing cryptically marked buttons that's become the norm for setting digital clocks.

I have an older Phillips wake-up light and I love it. I use it just as a light, but could add a radio or birds or beep. I bought this model for my son and he will not use it because he does not like the beeping noise and the beep can't be shut off.

It was working great until it started blaring like a sire this morning. Wouldn't turn off until I unplugged it from the wall. Must have a short.

Especially for the winter. I finally buckled and bought this when my fiance and I started sleeping in when we shouldn't have been. While my fiance still remains oblivious to all alarms, it has helped me wake up (after which, I wake him up), and even when I'm tempted to snooze, the light seems to fill my mind and I'm wide awake. All those silly alarm sounds stopped working for us. And we had three different alarms already. I have the light setting maxed out, as anything lower than the 10 wouldn't wake us up.
