It was a great tooth brush but it broke down on my boyfriend right when the warranty was up. Unfortunately Phillips will not service it. Good while it lasted. Will not repurchase.

This toothbrush is hands down worth every cent. It is an investment for your health. I have never had my teeth as clean (and I go to the dentist every 6 months) as I do with the diamond clean toothbrush. My husdband who NEVER brushes his teeth I mean once a week if we're lucky ICK now brushes twice a day!!!! Brushing is so comfortable and we share the toothbrush and have seperate heads. We love the different options as I use white and he uses clean. Not to mention how effective the white setting and white diamond clean head is! My teeth were ruined after my pregnancy, due to vomiting every day for 9 months, but just 2 weeks after brushing twice a day with this brush has made all the difference. I always have been big on dental hygine, as I would brush manually two or three times a day but I wouldnt even think of going back after this brush! AMAZING

great toothbrush!!! recommend to everyone. Go for a cheaper model if you are not particularly into the design. 3 modes would be good enough.

Rated 1 out of 5 by BrentP Prone to breaking down - Can't recommend
I have owned two of these. The first one stopped charging shortly after going off warranty and, because they aren't serviceable, I purchased a new one. Within a year the second one started acting 'crazy'. It would turn on and off by itself while sitting on the counter, would start cycling through the modes by itself and then turn off while brushing, and would often not turn on at all when the button was pushed. Eventually it also stopped charging, like the first one. Although I think the product does an excellent job when working properly (probably the best of any brush I've owned), I honestly can't recommend it due to the issues it has with breaking down within an unreasonably short time frame. The very high cost of consumables (brush tips) is also a sore point, but if you brush properly by touching the bristles 'very' lightly to the teeth and letting the vibration do the work, I find a brush head will last 4-6 months before needing to be replaced.

I am a dental hygienist! I love my sonic care ! I recommend them to my patients but more and more are complaining since they are only lasting 1-2 year! My old sonic care which is 7 years old is still going strong brought it back from our vacation home cause my new one I bought 1 year ago is acting up! Fix this issue please !! Cause otherwise you have a great product !!

This is my third Sonicare toothbrush that has stopped working properly. Replaced twice but this last time can't find the bill and can't replace after less than a year but oh well that is my fault. The point is really that they always break.
Time to go to something else

Rated 5 out of 5 by KaraKaren The only brush you'll ever need
The only brush that gives your teeth the clean all day feeling.
I love this brush but it wasn't always so.
From a manual brush I tried the sonicare brush 7 years ago and just could not get over the strong vibration so instead I went to the Philips rotating head brush. I chose that one also because the heads were more common and more available for less.
However 2 years ago I gave this brush a second go and boy am I glad I did.
Using the trial newbie start at less go up to regular vibration setting and the gentle mode allowed me to easier accept the strong sensations this brush puts out.
Reminder: wet bristles before using and hold brush gently as if it were a flute (in the mouth) not as if you are cleaning tile. :) You will get used to how to hold your lips and how close to stand to the mirror for splatter potential.
I suggest keeping your brush as I do, off the charger until advised by the brush to charge it.
What I wish were the case:
-mode selector button
-newbie mode button/timer on/off
-charge level indication
I feel this brush has too many modes accessible through too little buttons. Having all under a master button when it harder to navigate the many modes during use usually means splattering everything everywhere.
When I brush I brush for longer than the timer.
I know it's a fantastic brush but that's even more clear after a prior boyfriend asked me if it were detrimental to feel so clean after using the brush.
