Rated 5 out of 5 by zf77 great!!!
great toothbrush!!! recommend to everyone. Go for a cheaper model if you are not particularly into the design. 3 modes would be good enough.

Rated 1 out of 5 by BrentP Prone to breaking down - Can't recommend
I have owned two of these. The first one stopped charging shortly after going off warranty and, because they aren't serviceable, I purchased a new one. Within a year the second one started acting 'crazy'. It would turn on and off by itself while sitting on the counter, would start cycling through the modes by itself and then turn off while brushing, and would often not turn on at all when the button was pushed. Eventually it also stopped charging, like the first one. Although I think the product does an excellent job when working properly (probably the best of any brush I've owned), I honestly can't recommend it due to the issues it has with breaking down within an unreasonably short time frame. The very high cost of consumables (brush tips) is also a sore point, but if you brush properly by touching the bristles 'very' lightly to the teeth and letting the vibration do the work, I find a brush head will last 4-6 months before needing to be replaced.

My old sonic care which is 7 years old is still going strong brought it back from our vacation home cause my new one I bought 1 year ago is acting up! Fix this issue please !! Cause otherwise you have a great product !!

This is my third Sonicare toothbrush that has stopped working properly. Replaced twice but this last time can't find the bill and can't replace after less than a year but oh well that is my fault. The point is really that they always break.
Time to go to something else

Rated 4 out of 5 by KNewby The Diamond Clean has a "secret" last mode selected memory feature!
I already had a Sonicare Flexcare at home, that I didn't want to use for business travel, so I bought the Diamond Clean model as a dedicated travel toothbrush. I love that the travel case is also the charging base!
The most common complaint, about the Diamond Clean model, is the mode selection.
I almost didn't buy it based on this complaint in many of the reviews.
The problem is, even if everyone did read the manual, the manual doesn't properly explain the mode selection feature.
I discovered, by accident, that the Diamond Clean has a "secret" last mode selected memory feature.
By pressing the power on button once, the Diamond Clean will always operate at the last mode used.
For example, if you prefer to always use the Gum Care mode:
Before attaching the brush head, power on and scroll to the Gum Care mode, let the brush operate for 3-5 seconds, then power off.
Then when you're ready to brush, press the power on button and it will always operate in the Gum Care mode.
No need to scroll through the modes every time you power up.
I have no need for the mouthwash glass/charging base, as my Diamond Clean is primarily used for travel, and is stored in its case.
I agree, with the other reviews, that having to clean and dry the mouthwash glass, before charging, makes it cumbersome to use.
I tried using it, with my home Sonicare Flexcare, but it got annoying really fast.
I would have given the Diamond Clean 5 stars if the travel case had room for a travel size tube of toothpaste.

I have had two Sonicare (at the time top of the line) brushes. Both stopped working in a year or less. Way too much money for such a short period of time for use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KaraKaren The only brush you'll ever need
The only brush that gives your teeth the clean all day feeling.
I love this brush but it wasn't always so.
From a manual brush I tried the sonicare brush 7 years ago and just could not get over the strong vibration so instead I went to the Philips rotating head brush. I chose that one also because the heads were more common and more available for less.
However 2 years ago I gave this brush a second go and boy am I glad I did.
Using the trial newbie start at less go up to regular vibration setting and the gentle mode allowed me to easier accept the strong sensations this brush puts out.
Reminder: wet bristles before using and hold brush gently as if it were a flute (in the mouth) not as if you are cleaning tile. :) You will get used to how to hold your lips and how close to stand to the mirror for splatter potential.
I suggest keeping your brush as I do, off the charger until advised by the brush to charge it.
What I wish were the case:
-mode selector button
-newbie mode button/timer on/off
-charge level indication
I feel this brush has too many modes accessible through too little buttons. Having all under a master button when it harder to navigate the many modes during use usually means splattering everything everywhere.
When I brush I brush for longer than the timer.
I know it's a fantastic brush but that's even more clear after a prior boyfriend asked me if it were detrimental to feel so clean after using the brush.
