Shaver is actually like no others i have had it shaves close and gets all the hair in neck area Wow!
But here are the downfall the Smart Clean should be rebranded to Dumb Clean! no joke
i'm shaving the smart clean starts, no shaver in cradle smart clean starts put the shaver in to clean asks for new cleaning cartridge I check it it's half full!
Save money and buy it without smart clean and just rinse it yourself I regret buying the whole system

The numerous negative reviews I read about this product online kept me from buying this shaver sooner. My old 8894XL series finally died after many years of faithful service. I actually bought this one back in December and left it in the box until March figuring I was going to return it. The death of my old one forced me to finally open the box and put this one to use. I am so glad I did. This shaver works great. I have never had such a close shave with an electric razor and never with such ease. The shaver works flawlessly and very effectively. I would recommend this one in a heartbeat. I just hope i get as many years out of this shaver as i did my previous that lasted over 10 years.

Heads dull in less than a month. Tried it wet, with various soaps and shave creams. Dry and with a pre-electric lotion. It pulls and irritates the skin. My wore out HQ 6705 Cool Skin works way better. Can't get replacement heads for it or would still be using it. This 9311 obviously was not field tested before putting on the market. Philips needs to make replacement heads for it that work.

I have an older Speed XL and it had 3 rotor blades in each shaving head. I have to say that old razor does a better job at shaving but it is not sold any longer. Can still buy the blades but the razor batter is about to go.
About the 9300, I love this razor it does a great job and by rinsing the blades before I put on the smart clean system it allows me to go an extra 2 months longer before replacing the cleaning solution. I have yet to try shaving with shaving cream and that might be a way to get a better shave. I would recommend this razor to my family and friends, but I still like the old Speed XL and would like to see that come back for a limited time or put the 3 blades in the newer models. Thanks

I have used every type of shaving technique because I get razor bumps. I have tried foil electric shavers, rotary electric shavers, single edge blades, double edge blades, three blade razors, five blade razors, straight razors, and shaving powders. I like the whole experience of the straight razor. But this shaver gives me the best overall experience, close, smooth shave, convenient cleaning, and no irritation. I tried both the wet and the dry shave with this product. Both gave me a great smooth shave but I prefer the dry shave with a product for electric shavers because it is faster and more convenient for me. I use it on my head and face. I usually would not shave every day. Now, I do.
The issue others have raised about accidentally turning off the shaver is not really a problem for me because I just readjust how I hold the shaver and I have no problems at all.

Do not buy this product! The battery dies in less than a few months and the company does not honor their warranty! Buyer be ware!

I have owned two other Norelco razors this one performs much better and shaves closer in less time. It is worth the extra money.

Won a lottery.
After using Philips razors for over thirty years. Thought I would buy the best. Well this is not it. Bought extra solutions for cleaning tank. Followed instructions to the tee. I am a Technician and know that following instructions is key to getting full used of product.
First noticed I could not get hairs by where nose and upper lip meet. Got to point where blades got hairs caught in it and was bleeding at nose where it meets face.
Then hairs on neck became long and not getting cut off.
Instructions said could take awhile for skin to condition. Not true.
Looking for a good razor now.
