Rated 2 out of 5 by jrtaylor shuts its own power off. no fix.
The speakers sound good. However the speakers have a factory-set power saving feature, which requires that you have to keep manually turning them on again, even if you've kept them plugged into your computer. Power saving is a great thing, but not when it is thoughtlessly incorporated into a product you expect to work whenever you want to play videos or music.

Although it worked pretty well when device was plugged in to the Philips. The sound was not extremely loud. And as for the bluetooth, well I could barely get a whisper out of it. Do Not buy. I am returning.

Rated 1 out of 5 by jog7 Greatly disappointing.
Paired and connected with my Android phone and tablet. Volume was almost none existent in both. Paired with my newer Dell laptop, but would not connect. Spent an hour at least with a Philips technician, all to no avail. It works fine when hard wired to my laptop. But that is not why it was purchased! Should have read the reviews before purchasing. Would have saved on a lot of frustration! Returning this ASAP!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Chris92 Not made to be opened
The harder an electronic price of hardware is to open and service, the more I get the feeling that the company that makes it is trying to hide something. There was so much use of adhesives and glues inside this box, not to mention more than 50 screws, it took me an hour to get this speaker disassembled. I was hoping to find find a separate board running the power supply that I could replace. Unfortunately, the main board houses the power connections, and I am unable to find a replacement board online. I believe the use of a substandard main capacitor is the cause of the power failures mentioned in these reviews.

Bought this product and lost my receipt. Hasn't even been 4 months yet and it won't power on. Never buying a speaker from Philips again.

I think of a brand that you buy at an outdated store, like Kmart or a tv at Costco....the cheapest possible. N We are having problems powering up this unit, and looking at it others are as well. But to fix it I need to call customer support not open own in a life of round the clock customer service...can't do that, no time tomorrow.
Getting something to power on is a very basic thing...after a year, the Phillips is headed to the dumpster.
Suggest this company goes for a buy out and call it quits.
