Not recommendedI bought this pump as it was marketed to be of great comfort and ease of use, also cheaper than The premiere brand Mendela. Breast pumps are expensive and you would think that with that price it would atleast work for a long time. Im a first time mom and breastfeeding is important for me. I used the pump to extract milk that my bAby can drink at night or when we go out. After using a new double ectric Avent breast pump for 2 weeks 3xa day i notice that 1 pump is not pumping as efficient as the other one. Also there were times that even when pumping for an hour i will only get 20-30 ml even though whdn i manually extract milk i can see that i have lots of milk. I wanted to exchange at babies r us but since its used they do not allow it, how can i get a replacement with Avent as I fear that i got a faulty product

qui workingI purchased the double electric breastpump just after my first child was born and pumped approx 5+ times a day, and 2 months into pumping the actual motor to the pump quit.
I am extremely disappointed because I enjoyed my experience with the pump and cannot afford a replacement

Pump was painfulI bought this pump based on multiple reviews I had read online and thinking I would not need a premier pump since I did not plan on going back to work. The day after my milk came in, I began pumping with the Philips pump and over the next couple days noticed scabs on my breasts. I met with a lactation nurse concerned about my scabs and she told me this is fairly common with the Philips pumps due to the silicone petal liner and the size of the flanges. If you are a larger chested girl, then you may be okay, but because I am smaller chested, the silicone liner was rubbing too hard leaving scabs in the shape of the petal. I would not recommend this pump and now, am arguing with my insurance to try to receive another brand. I've been renting a Medela and would highly recommend it.

Like the pump but hard to holdI really like the pump and is easy to use. Im using it about 4 times a day to increase my breastmilk supply, as i don't have enough milk, but it is hard to hold. I was hoping there would be a wearable accessory so i could latch the two suction cups on and not need to use both my hands. Besides, the instructions say to have the cups on before turning the machine on, but that is hard when you are already using both your hands to hold the suction cups.

Better than medelaI've used this through 2 children and going strong. I got the medela thinking it would be better but after all the rave, I ended up still using this one. It's more comfortable. It is louder than medela but otherwise I like it better. Love that it lights up so I can pump at night and see what I'm doing!

Turns Off Few Minutes into Pumping; Loud Clicking Noises ConstantlyI originally was SUPER excited when I was given this pump to re-lactate for our baby that will be here at the end of the year (via a family member as our surrogate due to infertility). The first two times I used it, I had absolutely NO problem with the pump minus a very loud almost clicking type noise that I hadn't heard a pump make before. I figured this was just how the pump worked and when reading reviews I have found that I am not the only one. After the first few times of using the pump, I have found that it will just out of the blue turn off and have the "on/off" button flashing. I have checked the power sources, made sure everything was connected properly and turned it off and back on (it requires you to in order to get it to work again) and sometimes it will work for the remainder of the time with no issue, while other times it does it 3-5 and sometimes even more than 7 times in one session! I am thinking that I will likely have to purchase a new pump and attempt to return this pump or get a refund from the Philips company for it (not sure if they will help me out or not, I would accept a new pump and see if it is just this pump and if the new one doesn't work, I will be requesting a full refund so that I can purchase a different pump) as I need a pump that will help me be able to re-produce milk and so far this one just isn't cutting it!! It is VERY important to me that my baby be on breastmilk and be able to not have to rely on her surrogate mommy for milk (and stay away from the bottles full time), so I am very dissapointed in this product so far. Which is a shame, as I love the Avent products, just not this pump. Fingers crossed that Philips is willing to work with me on this issue!
