Perfect for teaching cup drinkingI had tried numerous toddler cups with my son who was 18 months old and they either were too hard for him to suck a drink from or soaked him. At 18 months this cup worked perfectly, to the people saying it soaks the child I would suggest the child might be a little too young for this particular cup and to try one of the spout or straw cups first. It comes apart entirely, including the inside suction and rubber seal parts for cleaning. We are on our second cup as the first one got accidentally left at the cottage. I feel my son learned a great deal about drinking from actual cups with this. He can drink from a normal cup perfectly now at 21 months although we keep it confined to the kitchen for easy clean ups if accidents occur. He uses the training up otherwise

Great design, too much spillI bought this cup for my son who has just turned one. I like the idea of a no-spout design as I think he will learn to drink from a regular cup easier. The only problem we have is the spill. And this is not because of a wrongly assembled cup but too much liquid! He chokes on water as it seems he is getting too much liquid. I cannot leave him self-drinking as he is wet in seconds! I love Avent and I have been using their products for my older one too. I will give this cup a few more days hoping my son will be able to deal with it.

Unique Spill Proof Value = Unique Spill ToyI did not find this cup easy to assemble. I took it apart 4-5 times before I ever put milk in it. When I finally put in milk and thought everything was good, I realized that I needed to work a bit harder. I did get it to the point of being leakproof — until my 16 month old figured out that she can get it to spill milk all over the table if she lays it on its side and presses the top.
I imagine that it will be great at about two, but twelve months is too young of a recommendation in my opinion. We have to watch her like a hawk when she uses this cup.

Good for babies who still need help drinking.I recently started using this cup with my 6 month old. I know it says 12+ months on the package but we would just be using a regular cup otherwise. He doesn't need much water yet so the slow pour is great for intro. It was very easy for him to figure out how it functions. I wouldn't leave this, or any, cup within his reach because it's to drink with, not to play with so the mess and drowning hazard some have dealt with are non-issues under proper supervision, as recommended in the instruction booklet. It's one of the easier sippy cups to assemble in my experience and I love how all surfaces of each part are easy to clean. It's mostly common sense and the visual instructions are very basic. I do wish the handles were removable because he would be able to hold it better as such a young one. I've also had trouble finding this product in stores. I looked for it at five different places who claim to carry it before finding it. So I bought two!

Can't clean cup properly!!Although this cup was great at first, it's now garbage. My son had as easy time with it and it didn't leak much. But cleaning is a pain in the bum!!! I've disassembled this cup and washed by hand and in the dishwasher and it does not get clean between the mouth piece and the rubber stopper. You can smell the gunk in there and you can see some of it, but to get in there and give it a good clean is not an option. I don't allow my son to use this cup anymore as I feel it may make him sick. It's sad because it was such a good cup, but in the end not worth the money for the short time he was able to use it!

Awesome CupMy son, who has been breastfed from birth never knew how to drink from a bottle. I tried numerous sippy cups with no success. a relative had told me about this cup and came across it on one of my shopping trips so I purchased it and thought I would give it a shot. it took him a few days but now he is drinking on his own. This cup is awesome. I love the 360 design but do find when he opens it will his fingers he spills milk all over the place. overall its a great cup!!!
