Loved the machine. Here at the end of the warranty period, I've had to send the machine in for service twice. Both times folks at Phillips have been helpful. I hope I don't have a lemon cause I love the coffee.

Our Vienna Deluxe stopped grinding after about 10 years. Everything else was still going strong, and we used it heavily for that period of time.
We've bought more than a dozen for friends and family..different models, but within that price range and style.
The Deluxe was our first unit....made some clunking and vibrating sounds, but they all do to some extent. No complaints here.
Just received our Vienna Plus. Like several others we bought earlier, it has a tendency to "squeal" a bit when dispensing. Otherwise, it's quieter than the old unit, no "clanking" noises or vibrating when dispensing. The components fit a bit tighter than the old unit, by design, probably.
We use R.O water, never had to descale the old unit, and won't here, either.
Negatives: The squealing noise and lack of water volume control
Positives: Nice design (narrow for countertops), great cup of coffee or expresso, good foam, good steamer, price (under $400 most everywhere)

At first it worked great, but then started having grinding issues after just a couple weeks. I kept the first one for a year, but it got so bad that I decided it was defective and purchased a new one from Costco. Well, the Vienna Plus was certainly defective -- and so is the second one! Just 6 weeks old, I've already experienced the same grinding issue repeatedly. This is the most expensive piece of junk I've purchased. A waste of hard-earned money. I filed a complaint with Costco and contacted manufacturer and got little resolved.
Too bad. Will not be buying Saeco products in the future. I would NOT recommend buying the Vienna Plus to anyone. In fact, I discourage it.

We like the ease of this automatic machine, and actually were surprised that we have been able to dial in a strong shot of espresso with a decent crema on top. The machine is noisy, clacking and clicking as it goes through its program. I wonder if the metal faced version is less noisy, this one is all plastic. It took a while to get the right grind and the right water flow, the manual isn't all that helpful. I found a video on line on how to deep clean the machine, which is good to know about. Had the machine about 3 months, hoping it lasts, with all the moving parts.

This product is excellent - fully automatic, continues to perform beyond our expectations, after several years - we own 2 of these. Great value for the money.

I've only had my Vienna Plus for 4 months, but I've used it every single day and I'm yet to have any problems. It's simple to clean, easy to use, and makes great espresso drinks.
For how much you pay for it, I wish it were made of metal, not plastic. The buttons fall off of mine periodically (they're easy to reattach, so not a huge problem).

Rated 5 out of 5 by BeachCycler Durable workhorse, superb coffee
I have had my Vienna for five years now. At one point recently it finally needed a new set of seals, which were easy to find and install.
I cannot say I have babied it, either. If it ever wears out, I will surely miss it and will have to get another !

This machine was a gift for my fiancee and it cranks out an average of 5 coffees a day. So far never gave us any issues. Cleaning is easy and quick.
