Great, easy to use, travel proof shaverPhilips gave me the opportunity to try the Philips Series 7000 Wet & Dry shaver and it's a breeze ; easy to use, to charge up and clean along with the reminded light. The first couple of weeks were the adapting phase, coming from a regular shaving tool (blades with up and down mouvements), I had to adapte to doing circular motions, wetting the Philips shaver before use to ease the sliding/shaving process. On the third week, regular shaving phase was back. The result was faster, neater shaving with less irritation. I had no issue using my regular shaving gel. Cleaning is easy and quick. I performed one thorough cleaning and you need to be methodic and patient but it's worth it. The reminder light to clean or to unplug before use is a plus. The travel lock is also nice. Had it in my backpack a couple of time and it went off each time. Once the travel lock activated, it never went off. A down size is the pouch, it doesn't fit the shaver AND accessories but not a big deal. Also to change heads you have to pull "gently" never twist. You get use to it and i'm sure the next series will be easier. In overall, i was thinking of going for an electric shaver but didn't know what to choose, with the Philips shaver S7710 I got to try it and it's definitely a nice tool for me; small, powerful, easy to use, to clean and travel proof. Another plus with registration it's garanteed for 30 months :-)

Ergonomics good, but shaving performance poor.I purchased the 7700 three months ago. Ergonomics are nice. Weight and shape make shaving easy. Initially the shave was quick and close, averaging 5 minutes. Three months later it literally takes me over 10 minutes to complete a shave. I have to run the shaver over the same section of skin at least 50 times to ensure each beard follicle is cut. ( I counted) Its ridiculous. This shaver replaced a model 8250 which has the HQ9 triple blade cutters. The HQ9 has 2 rows of slots to cut hair. This one also has 2 rows, but it seems only one slot actually cuts. I am not sure what the second row is for, but it clearly doesn't cut any beard. The new shaving head is a step backwards. At least the newer heads are easier on the skin. They have to be considering the number of times you have to shave the same spot over and over again. Battery charge lasts me only 4 shaves, which is about 40 minutes of shave time. This is consistent with the specs. I am afraid this model simply does not perform. The cost of new cutting heads make replacement prohibitive. I have used Philips shavers for about 25 years, using 3 different models. This one has the nicest handling, but the poorest shave, and shortest cutter life by far.

It’s amazingI love this shaver... I was reading all reviews before I buy this shaver, and it came on sale of $40 off at Best Buy. It hold the charge for long days, and shaves so smoothly with or without shaving cream. Easy to clean running tap water.
Only one thing Phillips should have done for this shaver is a charging stand/cradle so it would be easy for me to keep upright position and charge as well. But overall, I like this for performance, design and colour too. Hope this shaving head will last for long as described for at least one year.

Not a close shaveI have been a Philips user for close to 60 years and have never been disappointed with their product until now. I have the older 8260 model and thought it was getting tired and time to change so I purchased the 7700. At first it was OK but I am finding that its missing hair that the older shaver would have caught on the first pass. I am not impressed with the closeness of the shave, having to change the head to trim and I am not one for wet shaving so its a no for me on the 7700 shaver. Not recommended.

Awful RazorI purchased because the head on my previous AquaTouch is broken. The redesign is awful.
The head with the blades keeps popping off distributing clippings across the vanity. I expect that this will get worse because I need to remove the head after each shave for cleaning.
My shave takes much longer because it does not have the triple blades of the AquaTouch.
The head design does not get into close under my nose.
I would return except that I took too long.

I like it!!Good razor. Had an old Philips razor with the three blades per head style. I think it was called a speed xl. Loved it but couldn't replace it because discontinued. Bought the 7000 with hopes it would work just as good and it does. I wouldn't buy a lower model from Philips. It would be too slow for my liking.

Probably the best one on the marketI use several different shavers (even at the same time), and this is one of the best ones for getting the closest cut.
It requires a bit of care, including annual changing of the blades, but the performance if you treat it right is unparalleled.

Great productLove the shaver. Especially like your follow up and response to a call I made. Had trouble getting the cutter guards out and your phone rep had a tool sent to me no charge. Fantastic. Great customer service and much appreciated.
