Nice pacifier but doesnt glowWe got these to help us find the pacifier at night. Only problem is it doesnt glow at all. Advent is the only pacifier she will use so we like them just wish it glowed like it said it would. Wouldnt recommend the glow in the dark ones but would all the other ones.

Not very glow in the darkI have been using the Avent bottle system since my daughter was born as I was unable to breastfeed. I have also been using the Avent Soothers since she was about a month old and while gagging on them at the start quickly became use to them (although I still find the shield too big even after 3 months it still almost covers her nose). I bought these glow in the dark ones after finally becoming frustrated at trying to find her soother in the dark. Unfortunately the glow in the dark feature while good at the start very quickly becomes too dim to see. Within minutes of the lights going out the handle will no longer glow. Every other review I have read say they recieved their soothers for free for the review. I did not. I actually bought them and I am not impressed. I should have just stuck with her regular day time Avent soothers and saved my money.

Nice Pacifiers, but the Glow in the Dark feature doesn't work for long.I received these pacifiers for free in exchange for my honest review. The neat thing about them is that the handle on them glows in the dark. It sounded cool at first, then I remembered that most things that glow in the dark only do so for a little while before it needs to be "recharged" with light so that it can glow again. The same is true for these. But it's still a neat feature for when the baby is trying to fall asleep. If he drops it early on, he can have a little help finding it.
They are sturdy, well made pacifiers that will last him for a while. I also like that they come with a cover to be used when traveling with them. This protects them from getting any gunk on them while in my diaper bag or purse.

Just a So-So pacifierI received these glow in the dark pacifiers for free in order to write this review and they are just a so-so pacifier. We use the Avent bottle system so I was thinking/hoping my daughter would love these but she didn’t seem too interested. She normally sucks on her binkies very tightly especially when she is tired and she only sucked on these for about 2 minutes and then popped it out. I keep trying to get her to use these but it seems like she can’t get good suction. Compared to the other brand she uses, these Avent pacifiers seem very straight, almost like it can’t conform to the inside of my daughter’s mouth. They are curved on both sides so it doesn’t matter which way it goes in their mouth which is nice for younger babies. My daughter has a round chubby face so these binkies almost touch her nose, which I’m not a huge fan of.
I do love that they come with protective caps to keep them clean. The glow in the dark feature is very nice but as with any glow in the dark item, once it’s in the dark for an extended period of time, the “glow” is no longer visible. She can find the misplaced binkie in her crib if she wakes up within the first hour or so.
Overall, I don’t think these are bad binkies but they’re just not for us.

Bad designI bought to my son a pacifier model (Philips Avent Night Time Pacifiers SCF176 / 22 6-18m BPA-Free Orthodontic & Glow-in-the-dark handle 2-pack) and her design is not good. It have only the cut to one side for the nose. And sometimes my son turn around the pacifier to the side that does not have the cut. So he ends up with the side that does not have the cut on the nose. His nose is a little red sometimes. I would like the AVENT send me a better model. What about the glow in the dark, it lasts very little. when my son sleeps, shines not more. Improve the design of this model, please.

Glow in the dark is a clever feature, though not perfectLike many other parents, I find myself groping for pacifiers in the middle of the night. I received these pacifiers for free in exchange for writing this review, and I when I first saw them, I was very excited about the glow-in-the-dark feature. However, the main thing you should know about the glow-in-the-dark feature is that it's the same glow-in-the-dark technology that has been around for decades. If the pacifier gets a lot of light, it will glow brightly for a few minutes, then slowly taper off over the course of maybe 30-60 minutes. So, it doesn't help you find the pacifier in the wee sma's, but I would say that it's still a clever idea and still helpful. My son (or I) can at least find it more easily when he is first put to bed and is still awake, playing, crying, whatever, before he falls asleep. As for the pacifier itself, it's standard. Size is fine for my 15 month old, and it's nice that it can be used in either orientation because the nipple is symmetrical. My son does seem to have a slight preference for nipples that turn upward slightly, but it's not a strong preference, and the symmetrical ones are nice during the night when you can't see them well.

Night time pacifierI love this product, I no longer have to turn on the light to help soothe my little one since I can locate the pacifier in the dark.

Cute pacifierI was sent a free Phillips Avent Nighttime pacifier for free to review and we have used the product for a couple months. The look is adorable with the stars, the shape and size is pretty similar to other pacifiers on the market. A major unique feature was the glow in dark flap, which is nice to have at night. I loved that it came with the pacifier holder to put it in when the baby wasn't using it to keep it clean. The product was very cute and worked well overall. I'm not sure I would recommend this particular shape pacifier to babies that are exclusively breastfed, It is a much different shape than a mother`s nipple. My breastfed 6 month old son who has been using the pacifier prefers the soothie shape ones over this one. But it could just be that is what he was used to. This would be a cute pacifier to give at a baby shower or to put on a diaper cake.
