Kadir, a father of five, has been working non-stop since the crisis started. As a systems engineer at Philips Refurbished Systems in Best, Kadir and his colleagues work in a large factory that produces CT scanners. These scanners allow doctors to quickly take pictures of people's lungs to determine whether or not they have the coronavirus.
It normally takes about six weeks to refurbish one scanner. Now, after much dedication and many hours of work, it only takes two weeks.
"That is the work of me and my colleagues. I am quite proud of that. We have all worked very hard."
While it was difficult for his children to understand exactly what their father is doing, they know their father has an important job and Kadir is very proud of how they deal with it. His commitment to helping others makes Kadir a hero.
