I'm not sure how this appliance works, but you put in your ingredients and press a button and in 20 minutes you have delicious and nutritious soup that would otherwise take one to two hours to cook. It makes an incredible vegetable broth. I am very impressed that its simplicity can be so effective. I have noticed that there is a white pitted surface on the bottom of the pot after a few uses. I am unsure what is causing this issue, but will keep my eye on it to be sure continued use will remain safe in terms of health.

I just got my soup maker today & tried the broccoli soup. It was a little too thin but tasty enough. I just need to try more recipes & experiment a bit more but I know I live the speed & convenience of this appliance. Great way to use up produce before it expires.

Can I have some advice please, my broccoli soup turns out thin, more like stock than a creamy soup. I’ve made it 3 times, following the recipe from the Philips booklet to the dot, then tried reducing the liquid, and it’s way too puréed. The soup maker is a wonderful concept, but I must be doing something wrong !
