TV has all the things that a smart tv should gave. I'm quite disappointed that I am unable to add Roku channel on it.

How in the world is this tv already discontinued because I got is months ago and shops still sell this tv

The TV itself is OK. The set up was very complicated, cumbersome, took a lot of time, but eventually got it done. The audio is terrible though. He goes up and down on its own and I went out and bought a Phillips sound bar to try and solve the problem and it still doesn’t fix it. even trying to figure out how to have the TV remote turn on the sound bar when you power on and off the TV is very difficult. Also, maybe because the TV is new there’s not a lot of online support.

First and foremost, the audio on the TV is awful. It’ll randomly cut out and cut back in if the ambient sound of the show/movie you’re watching is too quiet. The sound will just stop, including the ambient sound. I was willing to overlook the audio problem because it seemed like a lot of work to return the TV after going through the effort to install and set it up. However, just one year after purchasing the TV, the remove control for the TV stopped working. We did all the troubleshooting tests recommended on the Philips website but the remote had completed died. We contacted customer service twice and they told me “too bad, so sad” because our warranty had expired the month prior. Then, they closed the support chat on our end, refusing to help us. We looked into purchasing a replacement remote from Philips (because we want to make sure it for sure work for our TV model) and found that a new remote would cost $25. Okay, that sucks but sure. Then we found out that the shipping would cost $22. So basically, Philips designs their products to fail the second your warranty expires so that they can charge you out the nose for replacement parts that won’t be covered by a warranty. Horrible customer service. Horrible products. Would not recommend.

My bad experience started with the first tv, yes I changed it 3 times, and all 3 tvs came with screen problems. When talking to support, they blamed walmart, but walmart was not at fault, walmart was very patient and wonderful in accepting so many exchanges. Finally I bought a sony, 500 dollars more expensive, but a million times better, the sony I turned on and the first tv already worked. As it should be, right? I will never buy philips again, never again, and I will never indicate philips tvs to anyone, I already did a review and posted on the internet my bad experience with this brand, and my bad experience with philips support that did nothing and ignored my complaints. Imagine you buy a tv, large, difficult to carry and have to be taking everywhere having to change and solve problems because the brand has a terrible quality. this is what will happen if you buy philips.
