2000 SeriesSuper-automatic espresso machine

This was my second one in less then 3 months. At first I was disappointed with the machine ( was going to return second one ). Then decide to call philips. This was the best thing.Customer service was patient with me and we did face time with machine . So helpful. If it wasn’t for you’re professional on the other end , well you know. This is the second automatic espresso maker I have owned (last one was German). I've had this one for 6 months now and it works completely as advertised. Only negative is that, since I have a double-shot every morning I need to refill the Phillips every couple of days. Good news is that I always have fresh water in it.

Makes great coffee. Dialed in 30mL (1oz) Espresso shots and 45mL (1.5oz) Lungo shots. Great machine. Saves me 10 minutes a day in coffee preparation. That's 5 hours per month. Time is the most valuable commodity in my world.

Lowest price for super-automatic however I still cant afford it. I was only able to purchase one because it was a display item and missing some parts and was able to get it for a great deal. Pros: lowest price compared to all other superautomatics, makes great espresso, almost works perfectly. Con: overheats when trying to make coffee after frother was just used. However, theres a workaround for this by letting go of some hot water. No biggie really...

This product is great if you want just a shot of weak espresso. Most of the time it gave me grief just trying to turn it on. There are a million and on errors that can happen and only one flashing red light to indicate that something needs attention. It is also poorly designed. The steam wand is the wrong size for the machine and placed in a spot that makes it hard to get the carafe into the proper position which in turn causes the milk to have large bubbles and not a smooth froth. The wand also puts out steam at a very high temp and forces too much air into the milk at a fast rate, making it impossible to get a smooth froth. It's also needlessly round and bulky, taking up a large amount of counter space. Some days it will turn on and others it will not (even if you ask nicely). The whole machine is also hard to clean because of all the small plastic parts and automatic sequences. The seal in the brewing chamber has also failed a few times causing hot water to leak all over the inside of the machine.

We have had 2 in less than 1 year. First 1 only made it lukewarm , second just up and quit dispensing water or steam. Also very temperamental.
