Philips Barista BrewSemi-automatic espresso machine

This is an excellent machine. It's much better than the expensive fully automated machines which are easier to use but sacrifice personal control and quality. I've experience many fully Automated machines but have yet to find one that produces a good hot espresso curto or lungo. Most fully automatic machines also have a problem with producing a nice hot froth for a cappucino. If you're a true espresso lover, with patience, I highly recommend the Phillips semi automatic.

For someone like us, two coffee connoisseurs, the machine is the heart of the home espresso experience. We always choose our coffee beans carefully, and it wouldn’t be different regarding our espresso machine. After searching for a while and going over so many reviews and features, we chose this espresso machine. It has been one of the best purchases we have made. The machine is excellent; from the grinder to the last drop that hits that espresso cup. It is not just a very aesthetically crafted; it produces a deep, velvety crema and a flawless profile of flavor and aroma with every shot.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So having never used a machine like this it took some practice and maybe a YouTube video BUT after I was able to brew a nice cup in the morning. It's not entirely bulky and sturdy so it's built to last year's. The steamer is also a nice touch making it all in one. Very easy to keep clean as well.

This machine was so easy to set up with clear and easy to follow instructions on how to set it up and clean it for every day use. I have been able to make coffee shop level creations quick and effortlessly from the comfort of my own home saving me not only time but money and saving me frustration of long lines and traffic. This machine is easy to maintain and very easy to keep clean. It is very modern looking with very nice coloration. Very durable and made with very strong and long lasting materials. I would highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow, I’m completely blown away with this espresso machine. I’ve used many different espresso machines over the years, and this one stands out to me for many reasons, especially the ease of use. I love the sleek look of this espresso machine as well, I opted for The brown color, which looks amazing in my stainless steel kitchen. It stands out perfectly and does not clash with stainless steel appliances which I was pleasantly surprised with. In terms of using this espresso machine, I set everything up, rinsed out the water reservoir, and filled the bean hopper with fresh beans. From there, I opted to grind my beans on a finer level to start out with. One of the most important parts of making espresso is Dosing everything correctly to the right ratios. Typically, for a double shot of espresso you will want 18 g of ground coffee loaded into the Porter filter and tempt down. From there you will pull a shot which will hopefully range from 34 to 36 g of espresso. This is the absolute perfect ratio and I actually got this ratio by chance the second time using this machine. I did opt for a finer grind which I found worked best for me and the coffee that I was using. I started out on grind one and worked my way back to grind too to fine-tune it. But it will be different for everyone depending on the coffee that’s used. After pulling my espresso shot then I went to steam my milk, which was a very easy process. The milk steamer is super convenient because you do not need a digital thermometer, it tells you the temperature right on the steamer itself. Once I had steamed milk and my espresso shot, I combined the two to make this beautiful and delicious latte at home.

The heating water to brew feature is on the longer side, but produces a smooth brew. It’s made of mostly stainless steel and holds up well to ceramic cups: I would like to see a longer steamers, though!
