Beardtrimmer series 3000Beard and stubble trimmer

I like to keep my beard of varying lengths and find it hard to find a good adjustable trimmer. I bought this a year or so ago and it has been fantastic! Good sharp blades, lots of settings for length, holds a charge forever (it has never died on me even when on the road for a few weeks and not charging), and is lightweight for travel. The plastic guard on the top did crack after a year or so of use, but Philips was super helpful online and sent me a courtesy replacement part! Really happy with the product and service!

At 56, I've just grown my first beard and was having a difficult time getting used to grooming it properly. This unit worked well with simple instructions right out of the box. I had been warned not to get a cordless as they slow down and pull when the battery dies so I really like that this trimmer is designed for use with or without the cord plugged in. I didn't see anything else out there at this price point that looked this good and had the same no nonsense functionality I was looking for. Very happy with the results of my first attempt.

Lasted 12 years before the battery started to go. Still works well if I leave it plugged in while using, but no longer is worth taking when I travel. Hopefully the next Norelco I buy will perform as well.

The trimmer maintained it's advertised features of trimming every other day to keep a clean tight look. It carried a 2.5 year warranty which tells the consumer that Philips Norelco stands behind their products.

This product is perfect for beard and hair trimming of any type. The adjustable comb head allows you to cut your hair at various heights, and to even cut your hair with a fade. Great gift. Very easy to use.

I have used Philips / Norelco Trimmers before. In fact, this is intended to replace a MUCH older model that is no longer quite right. I think that with this trimmer it is REALLY important to read the [easy to read] instructions. At first, I was not quite sure how to hold / position this as it is a little bit different from earlier Trimmers. However, once I reread the instructions, I found that the trimming went VERY smoothly. I also think that the "gradations" here (i.e., hot much you "move" the shield when you change the setting) is a bit more "nuanced" than my earlier models (which is a good thing a it allows for more precision in the trimming). In practice, what it meant was that I had to readjust the setting a few times to get it as close as I wanted. However, once "set" this all worked very well.

I'm obviously very pleased with this product. I sought the exact model for repurchase. It does a great job for trimming beards. I haven't needed to oil it during its seven years use. The 20 settings accommodate the various lengths I chose to trimp my beard. The blade has never nicked or tugged at my skin. The battery life is fantastic: short time to recharge and keeps charge over a long period. Why did I purchase a new one? The head over the blade developed a crack. Otherwise, I'd be going on my eighth year.

Had this trimmer since December 2013. Still works great, however the plastic beard guard just gave out on me and broke the other day at it's weakest point in the plastic (where it turns to make a 90 degree angle). After so many years of reliable service, not even an oiling, I'll be replacing this with the new edition.

Works very well. I like the storage pouch and accessories that came with the shaver. Easy to use.
