If this system came with a remote control, I would have given 5 stars across the board. The screens are nice and big and have great clarity for a small dvd player. Without the control, my 8 yr old son has to learn how to use the buttons on the player itself which I had to read myself in the manual to figure it out. He is figuring it out but I really think this should have a controller.

Nice looking, easy to use. The problem is that the two units need separate power. So, Phillips provides you with a dual headed car charger adapter. Great, but what about those of us who travel on trains, where there is a standard 120 V outlet? Phillips provides a 120 V adapter, but it only has one head to connect to the unit(s). That means you can't run two screens in the train. Sure, I can gerry-rig a way around this by carrying a - fairly large - 120 V to 12 V step down and then use the car charger, but come on... This is a big company, and they could provide a simple thing like a 2 headed 120 V adapter. Portable and travel doesn't just mean you're in a car.
