No sound from my Philips player during a DVD playback
- Check whether the DVD is formatted with DTS (Digital Theatre System)
- Try another DVD
- Use a coaxial cable (not supplied) to connect the player to a digital system through the coaxial jack of the player
- Press the Audio button on the remote control repeatedly to get the sound
- Deactivate the mute function if it is active
- If a headphone is connected to the player, disconnect it
