They don't make a "macchina" like this any more
After 27,259 brew cycles, my beloved machine told me it was time to retire. The dreaded "Ventilate Error" suggests the "turbina" is shot. The one in my spare "parts machine" might rescue it. My new Gaggia Babila won't be as easy to transport. In 2008, when I purchased my refurbished Saeco Incanto de Luxe, it cost $400 and had 30 brew cycles on it. Needless to say, "It was the best purchase of my life". Having a spare machine for parts has come in handy. Saeco had quality problems from the factory, but once you worked out the bugs, it was smooth sailing and it made the best coffee, until the end. I suggest Lavazza beans. My choice is a 50/50 blend of Lavazza Gold Selection & DEK (decaffinated).
