I was reluctant to try an electric shaver as my past experiences have not been good. However, I've been blown away with the quality and ease of shave with the 8000. I shave my head and now I get a very close shave in less than half the time with a razor.

The Philips shaver 8000 has given me the best close shave ever for an electric shaver and the battery lasts me all week too! The $300 German electric shaver gave me the worst shave ever and the battery only lasted 3 days!

It's made my life a little easier, the shave is a comfortable shave, wet or dry. And I LOVE how the cleaning is automated with this cleaning pod. It's remarkable to watch the whole process through the Philips app on my iPhone.

I’m sure there are better razors out there, but I have found this razor to be significantly better than any other Philips razor I’ve used\. The biggest thing for me is how easily it handles a beard that has grown out to about 1/16 to 1/8 inch\. I’ve let my beard grow out several times to that length, and this shaver cuts right through it and leaves my skin incredibly smooth—almost baby\-smooth\. I’m genuinely impressed with how well it removes the hair without having to repeatedly go over the same areas\. I also really like the app\. It helps me use the razor properly and effectively, and it’s useful for keeping track of when maintenance and blade replacement may be needed\. The cleaning cartridges that came with the razor have also been very helpful\. I’ve found that I can make the cleaning solution last longer by brushing out the loose whiskers and trimmings from the shaver before putting it into the cleaning cartridge\. Then I let the cleaning system and app do the rest\. Overall, this is an amazing product, and I’m extremely happy with it\. I hope Philips continues developing it and comes out with even more improvements and innovations\. Thank you for making such a great product\!

One of if not the BEST shavers I've ever had & I had LOTS

I was using a BRAUN series 9 for a little over a year. It was rated very highly, cost a bundle, gave a good shave on daily beard, BUT even after cleaning, dumped clippings all over my chest, or shirt! It also did a poor job on slightly longer hairs. For my birthday in July I was given a Philips i9000. I now get a shave that is every bit as good as the Braun on every day shaves, much better on a couple day old beard AND my chest, or shirt stays clean. Only thing is that a little sad to see the $300+ Braun sitting alone on my shelf. Maybe I'll put in the next garage sale.
