Alarm Clock radio for iPod/iPhone

oyonnazien again, to come back on the fact that this clocka has a power save mechanism. DOn't know why it did not work on the first time I used it. Unplugged it once there was a storm and clock was still internally running. May be there is a switch or setup to have buttons light ;-) This clock is great !!

Hi, nice to be woke up by his music, with music level increasing smoothly. Two drawbacks: _ Although there is a small battery on the clock, when not powered, the clock is lost :-( How can't we save a clock? If you ever have a power shortage during your night, you might not be woke up _ Buttons does not get the light, and most of the time, you use your clock in the dark (changing clock, alram, listenning to radio, ...) Hope this will be integrated in newer version of clocks!

The best thing about this clock-player is that it's the perfect size for a bedside table, with a good, adjustable dgital time display. Design starts out well, but symmetry is ruined when the unit doesn't have an iPod or iPhone on its perch on top; the male plug should be concealed somehow. The alarm works well, but sound of the player is too flat, lacking fidelity, not adjustable, disappointing for a Philips audio product.

I love this as a docking station. The sound is good, the footprint is small, the price was reasonable -- BUT.. if you must rely on this clock as an alarm clock -- DO NOT BUY IT. I now have personal experience with three of these. The clock will randomly STOP AT 11:59 pm. It happened twice with my first one, and I took it back and got another one. I figured it was a fluke. In the meantime, I bought a third one for my daughter-in-law as a present. Then, it happened with my second one. I warned my DIL, and she said it has also happened to her. How ridiculous. A digital clock that just decides to freeze at 11:59 pm whenever it feels like it. I recommend this as a docking station ONLY.

This is a beautifull alarm clock with a clear display and great sound. I unpacked the clock, plugged it in and then docked my iPhone (upgraded to iOS 5.1.1). The phone charged but didn't sync or stream music to the player. I had previously bought a lower quality alarm clock and had the same issue, but my phone would display a pop-up that said "Not compatible with this device". From what I'm reading online this seems to be a problem with the new iPhone iOS. I hope this is an issue that will be resolved in the very near future otherwise this clock is just a nice but overpriced alarm clock.

I was so excited when I got this alarm clock. It was a bit pricey considering its an alarm clock but I went for it anyway. I was quickly disappointed when the time started freezing at 11:59 pm. It was a nuisance. I wrote to Philips and they actually replaced it. Everything was going great until the replacement started doing it too. I don't understand. Now I'm having issues where the alarm resets itself after I hit snooze once. It was fantastic being an hour late for work this morning.

I bought this alarm clock radio/iPod docking station less than 2 years ago and it has already broken. It just completely stopped working out of nowhere, and it will not turn on at all (the power supply is not the problem). Very disappointing. I was expecting a better quality product from Philips.

Stops at 11:59 about once a week. Not a reliable alarm clock. And not compatible to charge iPhone. Do not buy.

Sounds is good but clock is really bad. who would buy a digital clock that stops randomlly?

Twice it froze at 11:59 . I am trying to return it to Philips.
