Philips AventMy First Big Kid Cup

I had tried numerous toddler cups with my son who was 18 months old and they either were too hard for him to suck a drink from or soaked him. At 18 months this cup worked perfectly, to the people saying it soaks the child I would suggest the child might be a little too young for this particular cup and to try one of the spout or straw cups first. It comes apart entirely, including the inside suction and rubber seal parts for cleaning. We are on our second cup as the first one got accidentally left at the cottage. I feel my son learned a great deal about drinking from actual cups with this. He can drink from a normal cup perfectly now at 21 months although we keep it confined to the kitchen for easy clean ups if accidents occur. He uses the training up otherwise

I LOVE this cup! Thank you for making a product that is not outrageously priced and easily accessible. My daughter has Cerebral Palsy. We have tried EVERY cup out there! She is older, 16. And this cup makes her feel independent and not like a baby with a sippy cup. She doesn't have to ask us to get her a drink everytime she needs one. The handles are great for her. She had strokes on both sides of her brain. So she has never been able to use a bottle or a cup with a straw. Her mouth muscles and brain just can't suck swallow and breath at the same time. All the other cups that don't have a spout to suck on have the rim you have to suck. She just cant do that. But she CAN use this cup just pressing her lips against the cup when she puts it to her mouth. The only other cup we have ever been able to find and use was a cup I found in Italy when we went on vacation. We had that cup for a year! It just recently dropped and cracked. They dont ship to the USA. So grateful and thankful I found these here! Thank for making different kinds of cups for all different kinds of kiddos!! We appreciate it!

I bought a pair of these or my twins. They work great & really don't leak. My girls could use them easily by about 18mos, maybe a bit earlier. Just for kicks, within a few days of getting the cups, both girls figured out how to press the edge of the cup & dump them out. They never used spout cups, but like the straws & this was a great way to ease them into regular cups. Unfortunately, I accidentally melted them & it's been so much less expensive to replace them with the straw cups that I haven't gotten more yet.

My 11mo old son couldn't figure out sippy cups and loved drinking straight from an adult cup, but alas the spills were a problem, even with me holding the cup. I was convinced he would be drinking from a bottle till 18 mo plus. Enter this cup -- it is a perfect solution! He figured it out on the first try, and the only time it leaks is when he gets a mouthful and doesn't swallow. For those who say it leaks, yea, it does leak, but only when it isn't properly assembled; otherwise, I can tip it, turn it over, shake it, with no leaks. Liquid escapes only when the top is depressed. Then, its up to your child to swallow in time so it doesn't go all over him/her. The included instructions were easy to understand and it is easy to reassemble after washing. Love it!! Thank you for this design!

I am a first time mom with a picky son, when he was six months our pediatrician recommended I transition to a sippy cup but he refused to drink out of hard spout sippy cups and wanted to drink out if a big kid cup, so I went looking and found several leaky soft spout cups and this rather pricey cup, I purchased this cup and use it at mealtime, my son at six months could use it and at one year he can drink out if a big kid cup with ease, although during travel or if I want to prevent spills since he is in the throwing stage, I still will use this cup if I am not immediately with him throuout meals! Best money I ever speant and totally worth it! The cup doesn't leak and is just as easy to use as a standard cup without the spill risk!

We just found this cup the other day and are very impressed with it! My son was born with bi-lateral cleft lip and palate and he has never been able to suck from a bottle,sippy cup, straw, ext. He has had a feeding tube his whole life (he's almost 4) and just started eating and drinking orally within the last year and we have always had to take the plugs out of sippy cups and just hoped that he wouldn't make a huge mess. Also when taking the plugs out of the other cups he still wasn't able to get much to drink. With this cup we have had great results! He is able to get a decent amount out of the cup at one time and doesn't make a mess! He is loving his new cup! And so are we! We plan to buy many more of these cups! Great cup for training your little ones away from the bottle. The handles are ergonomic, and the sipping feature is excellent. I would highly recommend that you try this product!

This product is simply amazing! My daughter has a cleft palate therefore has no suction. This is a lifesaver!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This cup is great I just wish you made a version without handles or removable handles. My child hates handles on his cups and everything we buy has none or they can be removed. Fix this with the design and you'll get 5 stars in every category!

GtubeMom1. Our son was as born extremely premature with a severe cleft lip and palate. Because of this and other complications he never learned to feed by mouth and had to be fed via g-tube. His therapists recommended multiple nipples and cups but he didn't make progress with any of them. He has trouble with suction so straws were frustrating for him. I had to remove all the spill proof attachments on all his sippy cups so he could try to drink on his own since these require suction as well. This resulted in big spills all over the place and he never was comfortable with them. Then I discovered this cup and it was like a lightbulb went on for him. For the first time ever he was taking full feedings by mouth and actually enjoying it. Plus he started feeding himself!!!! He doesn't have to suck at all and when he tilts it back he doesn't get flooded with milk plus he doesn't have to worry if he's holding it correctly it works no matter which side he picks it up from. And if he knocks it over there's very little mess since the only portion that spills is the bit trapped in the reservoir at the top. We now only rarely have to use his tube for feedings and he's starting to explore other foods as well. I showed his therapist the cup and she's now recommending it to other families with great success. This cup opened up a whole world to our son I'm so thankful it was created
