Why does my picture turn dark when I select "Laser Wide" picture mode on my Philips TV?

Published on 2016-12-13

Laser-wide picture mode is designed to be used in a dark room for a cinematic experience while enjoying the widest possible color spectrum produced by the TV.

In this mode, the white LEDs in the backlight are turned off and only the Red Laser and Cyan LEDs are turned on.
