Philips Saeco XelsisSuper-automatic espresso machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a little nervous almost 5 years ago when I invested in this machine. My husband and I have no regrets. We are so spoiled that we won’t even drink coffee any place but home from this machine. We purchase organic beans and have adjusted the settings to each of our preferences. We have friends that visit and I’ve set the machine up with there names and there preferences as well. I love having our names in the machine and just start the machine get your name on the screen and push the button. Ta Da!!! A fantastic cup of coffee!!! I love the maintenance settings also making all the machine maintenance a total breeze. Like anything that’s new I was a little nervous the first couple times I did the maintenance but once you do it and see everything it’s very easy. I love that the screen prints out telling you everything that needs to be done. I Love It!!! The only thing I don’t like is to make a MUG of American coffee it want to grind beans twice and that’s such a waste so I just learned to adjust the settings on the coffeelatte and came out with my perfect mug of American coffee. Very Good Investment and the best coffee ever! Thank You Saeco!

This machine is very technologically advanced, it tells you everything, from how you make what you need to drink, to what you need to maintain it. I have only exceptional drinks.

We have owned this machine or older sibling for over 8 years. Besides a broken door hinge and damaged milk carafe sensor, it brews an average of 10 coffees a day. We are espresso drinkers. Big investment at the beginning and I paid a lot less in 2010, but imho worthy it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the variety of coffees that this machine can brew. The quality/taste of the coffee has spoiled me, beyond belief. If you use the milk craft, plan on twice as much cleaning. Need to clean the brew group regularly, and descale every couple of months. Biggest complaint is the lack of water volume, my wife and I consume enough coffee on a weekend that we have to fill it twice each morning.

I was terribly disappointed with this machine after 14000 cups of great coffee with my previous Saeco. This very expensive and pretty machine has some unnecessary bells and whistles and leaves out what one does every day. There is an advertised empty coffee bin sensor and an advertised full dredge drawer sensor. Neither of these work. I had the misfortune of taking it to the local service who held on to the machine for almost two months and sent it to another larger center to find the non-existant sensors. Customer service at Philips is only authorized to give you the run-around. I finally returned it to Costco with a full refund and was then foolish enough to buy another one with exactly the same problem. "Customer, I do not Care" told me to take it back to the same local service center....... DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS MACHINE
