Best Sippies EverI got a chance to try these Phillips Avent Bendy Straw cups because I am on the WeeSpring Parent Panel.
My son is now a year and started using sippy cups when he was about 6 months. Once he mastered the use of any cup, whether hard or silicone, spout or straw, he would cease drinking out of said cup and only fill his mouth up and then proceed to open wide, effectively dumping whatever was inside all over the front of himself. Every cup. Every time. We tried every different one on the shelf and experienced the same result. Then Wee Spring Parent panel sent me these cups. I fully expected them to be great for a day or two, and then for the waterfall to resume. Shockingly, it's been a number of weeks and he actually - get this - just drinks out of these cups! I don't know why, and I don't care. Whether it's design, shape, or magic. Don't care. It's also cool that the way that the straw curves in the cup even allows him to drink when he tips it up, or down, or sideways. Not only that, but they don't leak (unless left completely upside down for a prolonged period), they don't take an engineering degree to assemble and disassemble (literally 4 very simple pieces), there is no "trick" to putting them together or getting them clean and they're a perfect size. I fully intend to replace every cup in his cupboard with these. The only negative I can come up with (and I thought long and hard about it) is that the top piece is heavy. So when my boy heaves it from the highchair across the room it makes a louder crash than some of the other cups we have. But even then, no puddle!
Hands down, best sippies ever.

Could use few improvements but my toddler loves these cups!I love the design of these cups and so does my toddler. Once we received these, he only wanted to drink out of them. We call them the dinosaur cups! Definitely one of the best looking (non-character) cups I have seen, per my opinion. My toddler has no problem sliding the top to reveal the straw. Also, the bendy straw allows for my son to easily get every drop of liquid. It is very easy for him to grip as well. The cup comes in four parts--wide neck bottle, top and two pieces for the straw. And, so far, we have not experienced any leaks with the cups--even after a few hard drops. The reason for four stars is 1. My toddler chewed through the straw pretty quickly. Right now, I don't see replacement straws available for these particular cups. But if your kid doesn't bite straws...this one isn't a big deal. 2. The bottom of the top/lid (outside of the seal) has a rim that is made up of a bunch of compartments instead of being one undivided piece..so it is not great to clean. I do imagine it would be difficult to get much grime in the area that I am talking about because the lid does NOT overlap the cup bottom...nonetheless, if you are a thorough cleaner or if you do happen to get a bunch of junk on the underside of the top...it would be a hassle to clean. I got a chance to try these cups as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel.

a really great water cupWe are really big fans of straw cups in our family; our preschoolers take one to school each day for water. We put them through the dishwasher each night. At times, the kids have been bad about chewing the straws, so our cups really go through a lot. So, when I got the chance to try these new straw cups from Avent, I was really curious. And honestly, I've been really impressed.
I love how easy they are to assemble and how smart the design is. You won't mistake the plastic parts for any other cups you own, especially the curved straw (love that!). They really don't leak at all; you can turn it upside down and nothing leaks. The only problem seems to be when you close the lid over the straw. Whatever liquid is in the straw tends to spray out when the straw is compressed. This isn't a big deal if it's water, but if you were using the cup for milk or juice, it might get messy.
The lid is a bit heavy and the base is wider than most, so the cup might not fit in your snack tray or some cupholders, like one on a stroller.
Overall, we've been really impressed by these cups. Our kids use them every night for water by their beds and they've been great. And I love re-assembling them every time they come out of the dishwasher; the design is so easy and smart!
We got to try these cups as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel.

Not good for bubbly beveragesWe purchased a 2-pack of these straw cups for our girls ages 2 1/2 and 15 months. They are used to drinking flavored seltzer water and unfortunately we found that the anti-spill design provided no way to vent the carbonation. Needless to say, the water would force up the straw from the pressure and spill all over our girls. They probably work okay for regular water and juices, but nothing carbonated.

Leaky CupEvery time my daughter uses this cup I wonder if Phillips had actually done a product test and then I curse myself for not throwing it away. The straw retains the liquid when it is used so when you close the lid and open it up again the liquid leaks everywhere from the straw. EVERYWHERE. Not a fan very disappointed in this product considering how much I liked their bottles.

Starts to leakI bought this cup because it said 100% leakproof and I was looking for a 10 oz straw cup. After a couple of weeks the cups have started leaning out of the sides as well as coming up through the straw.

Very ImpressiveThis bottle encouraged my child use. My child was eager to carry it everywhere we were to go and I could tell was a huge fan.
I will definitely recommend this cup to more parents. The brand is known for great results for children products and this cup was nothing short of that standard.
This cup was easy for my son to close and avoid spills but tough for him to open which actually worked for us because I prefer to know when he is drinking.
The look of the cup was exciting for my son as with every use, he addressed the colors of the cup.
Not too big and not too small. The size of the cup was perfect for the amount of liquids we travel with.
My son does like to lay down with his water cup and drink from a laying position, this was not possible unless the cup was completely full.
The last portion of liquid in the cup would be difficult for my child to drink.
It was easy to keep up with the cup. For us not to lose it in one week, means that the cup meant that much more for my son.
I like the simplicity to the cup which makes it easy to clean as well.
The product is great for toddlers, what toddler doesnt love a straw
The straw was extremely flexible to bend for the top to close as well.
I am very impressed with this sippy cup.

Really enjoyed trying a new cupWe've been using the same straw cups for 2 kids now. I've tried a few in the past but they all leaked - and with kids, they love to throw or drop bottles. I'm always left with milk spilled on the floor, or a cup that leaked in the lunch box, and that was my biggest issue. My second issue with my old cups is the tipping factor. Even still, my 3 year old can never rotate the bottle right to get those last few sips.
This cup was great in that it didn't leak and my 1 year old was able to get those last drops. My 2 criteria were met!
Also, I found it pretty easy to clean as compared to my old cup. My old cup had lots of crevices and it was hard for the brush to get in there, forcing us to have to boil the tops every so often since it would get really stinky. These were large crevices, big enough for my brush to clean.
My only issue is there is no option for handles (my 1 year old just figured out how to drink without the handles, and my 3 year used to love to carry the bottle by 1 hand with the handles. This bottle would be too big to be carried around with 1 hand until my 1 year old is at least 3.
