How to record on my Philips DVDR from an external device?

Connect a Video Cassette Recorder, DVD Player, Camcorder, etc. to the unit’s input jacks (front or rear).
Press the HDD/DVD button to select HDD for the recording.
Press SOURCE to select the signal-input (TV, AV1 Front, AV2 Rear, S-Video, DV).
Start to play on the VCR or Camcorder.
Press RECORD to capture your video/audio signal from the VCR or Camcorder onto the hard disk.
Press STOP to stop recording.
