Just started using the Diamond Clean.
Was disappointed that the travel case would not accept the brush head with the cover on it. It appears there would be room.

This is my second sonicare brush. After charging the diamond care I used it and literally my teeth feel like I just had a cleaning. Absolutely incredible.

The only brush that gives your teeth the clean all day feeling.
I love this brush but it wasn't always so.
From a manual brush I tried the sonicare brush 7 years ago and just could not get over the strong vibration so instead I went to the Philips rotating head brush. I chose that one also because the heads were more common and more available for less.
However 2 years ago I gave this brush a second go and boy am I glad I did.
Using the trial newbie start at less go up to regular vibration setting and the gentle mode allowed me to easier accept the strong sensations this brush puts out.
Reminder: wet bristles before using and hold brush gently as if it were a flute (in the mouth) not as if you are cleaning tile. :) You will get used to how to hold your lips and how close to stand to the mirror for splatter potential.
I suggest keeping your brush as I do, off the charger until advised by the brush to charge it.
What I wish were the case:
-mode selector button
-newbie mode button/timer on/off
-charge level indication
I feel this brush has too many modes accessible through too little buttons. Having all under a master button when it harder to navigate the many modes during use usually means splattering everything everywhere.
When I brush I brush for longer than the timer.
I know it's a fantastic brush but that's even more clear after a prior boyfriend asked me if it were detrimental to feel so clean after using the brush.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jeanie49 Best system ever - best dental checkup ever!!!
I've been suffering from severe gingivitis and was going to need 3 more surgeries to correct it. 2 years ago for a number of reasons I stopped seeing my periodontist but went back today for a cleaning and reassessment. I was fully prepared to have to get back to where I was 2 years ago - but - after using this toothbrush for about 1 1/2 years, the dentist told me that my gums have healed, the "pockets" have closed up and I no longer need the other surgeries. I just need to keep doing what I have been doing and have quarterly cleanings! I have had the best checkup ever and I owe it to this toothbrush. I will never use anything else. I am so pleased to have good oral health again - thank you!

I had two Sonicare toothbrushes. Each died in less than two years. I just bought the DiamondClean. After three months, it would not turn on because toothpaste got inside the on/off switch. I spent two days running it under warm water and turning it on and off to get the toothpaste build-up out. Other brands have a rubber covering the handle to prevent this from happening and to give you extra grip.
It cleans really well and worth the price if it works for more than two years. My first electric toothbrush (non-Philips) lasted 15 years.

I love this toothbrush but . . . I have now owned 3 of them and I'm not sure what I'm doing but 6 months into use and the thing has stopped working again. They turn on, they charge but they do not brush. Each unit makes a noise that is not the normal on noise and they will not vibrate or what ever they normally do.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Pandatang Performs well but. . . .
This is a good toothbrush. The re-chargeable battery inside lasts about 2 and 1/2 years and I have been informed by Philips they do not provide a replacement service once out of warranty. For a $250 toothbrush to be a disposable item in 2 to 3 years is not good for the environment and costly for the consumer. The switch also is not waterproof, so it gets wet and the toothbrush has to dried for 24 hours for it to work. Again, Philips policy is that the switch and battery are not replaceable. Too bad, for an otherwise very good toothbrush.

My first Diamond clean toothbrush failed within a year (still within the 2 year warranty), unfortunately even though I kept the box and registered it on this website I had lost my receipt and was unable to send it in to get repaired/replaced. Now I have my second one (exact same model a year later that I have purchased using reward points which is the only reason I am giving this brand a second chance, this time I am scanning my receipt that way if the new one breaks down on me I'll be able to do something about it.
