Our new family of 4 all love the Philips Avent Natural Newborn Glass Bottle Baby Set. Our 2 month old adapted to this glass bottle well, she can effectively use either flow nipple (flow 2 & 3), swallowing and breathing properly. With the wide soft nipple she has the ability to switch back and forth between breastfeeding and bottle feeding. The included silicone sleeve makes it easy to hold onto, even our 3 year old can help with feedings, gripping onto the silicone. My husband enjoys the quick and easy ways to clean the bottles and it's parts. I feel like these bottles are great quality and warming up a bottle of milk from the fridge is something anyone can do with ease. The one thing I do worry about is the heaviness, it might be a problem when our baby is trying to learn how to hold the bottle on her own. I received this product through the Stellar product testing panel and at first wasn't sure how my baby would respond to these as she has primarily been breastfed (used bottles in the first week when I was waiting for my milk to come in, but hadn't used any since - she's 5 weeks now). I was surprised when I opened the box how substantial the bottles felt - the glass is much more durable than I was expecting. They have a good solid weight to them which makes me think it would be pretty hard to break if dropped, plus the added silicon sleeve is a nice protective layer if the bottle were to be dropped! I had only used one bottle and nipple previously so I really thought my baby wouldn't take to these nipples, but she did! She didn't have any problem drinking either - was able to stop and rest to catch her breath and didn't have any leakage, which was a big problem with the other bottles I had used previously. Overall I highly recommend these bottles. Im not big on plastics, so it's nice to know there is an option out there that provides high quality glass bottles that are safe for sterilization.

My baby has been EBF since birth, and only very rarely have we had to give her bottles when I've been away. We recieved the Philips Avent glass bottles through Stellar Product Testing panel. I was so excited since my baby took to them right away! Out of all the other bottles we've tried, this is only the second one she's ever taken. She latches well, and doesn't get overwhelmed by too much milk at once. We generally pace feed with bottles, but these are great for grandma who isn't familiar with the technique. I love how easy to clean the bottles are too, there's no extra parts or crevices for milk to get stuck in and get gross. I also love that they're glass so I'm not heating plastic up! The glass feels thick and sturdy, but the included silicone sleeves add a layer of protection. The bottles feel so nice even just holding them, the shape and size fits really comfortably in my hand.

I was given this bottle set to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I love glass bottles, less plastic the better. Baby took the nipple well, no drips or gurgling milk with the new design. I used the silicone sleeve when we were out and about, kept fresh pumped milk room temp a little longer than without sleeve. I find milk usually gets cold pretty fast in glass bottles so the sleeve helped a bit. I didn’t use the sleeves often as it would have been another thing to wash and it’s a little tricky to get on and off but it’s also great for nonslip. Overall, I love this bottle set, very easy for baby to drink.

These glass bottles are my favourite bottles for my family! The Philips Avent Natural Newborn Glass Bottle Baby Set is an excellent set especially if you are looking for a nontoxic, plastic-free bottle! The ergonomic shape and design provides for comfortable hold by my infant and toddler without being too heavy. Each bottle set is super easy to clean and put together. It fits snugly in my diaper bag for safe and secure transport without worrying about any leaking. The nipples work great for my breastfeeding baby. I like that they do not leak and only release milk when the baby sucks, similar to breastfeeding. The provided nipples come in different flow rates for 0+ month, 3+ months, 6+ months to accommodate if your child drinks faster or slower which can prevent gas and colic. The silicone sleeves are very easy to put on and take off and it is comfortable for my child to hold on to. I like using the silicone sleeves when giving my child the bottle knowing it provides a good grip and don't have to worry about the bottle falling. They line up well with the bottle so you are able to see the remaining volume. Each box comes with: 3x 40 oz / 120 ml glass baby bottles, 2x 8 oz / 240 ml glass baby bottles, 1x silicone bottle sleeve 4 oz, and 1x silicone bottle sleeve 8 oz, as well as 5 nipples with different flows. The Philips Avent Natural Newborn Glass Bottle Baby Set is a fantastic starter kit for new parents. The glass bottles are made in the USA and appear of high quality. They came out of the dishwasher without any chips, and we have no concerns about heating them or placing them in our sterilizer. Their wide openings also make these bottles super easy to clean with a bottle brush. The wide opening also makes it easier to transfer milk into the bottles. My baby is almost exclusively breastfed, and since he turned two and a half months old, he has been refusing to drink from the bottles he had used as a newborn. Over the past two months, it has been a challenge finding bottles with a nipple that he is willing to drink from. Though it will likely take a few more weeks of practice, he is willing to at least suck on the soft, wide Philips natural response nipples and has drank a few ounces of milk. Small victories! Also, as recommended in the included instructions, our baby seemed to prefer the slower-flow nipple as he is a more "enthusiastic drinker." The silicone sleeves are a clever accessory for this set as it makes the bottles less slippery to handle. From a tired mommy's perspective, these sleeves are a lifesaver if one drops the bottle (or if a cat accidentally knocks it over). One accessory that would have been useful in this kit is the inclusion of a lid that would allow us to seal the bottle and store milk in the fridge or for travelling. I highly recommend this set to parents who prefer to use glass bottles, and these natural response nipples may also be a good fit for exclusively breastfed babies.

Although I primarily breastfeed my newborn, we occasionally give her a bottle when I leave her with grandma or my husband for a few hours. For this review, I fed her with the bottle myself so I could compare how different or alike it is to breastfeeding. Upon opening the box, I was impressed by the number of bottles (three 4 ounce bottles and two 8 ounce bottles), as well as the fact that they are made of glass. This is my second baby and with my first one, it was important to use glass bottles for my own personal reasons (I’m not a fan of using plastic bottles, especially when they have to be warmed up). I had actually used the original Phillips Avent Natural glass bottles with my firstborn. When I inspected the nipple, I could immediately see the difference. These nipples have three little holes, mimicking a real breast that has several streams, not just one. I couldn’t wait to try them! Similarly to the original Natural bottles, they were super easy to clean and sterilize, which is always a plus. I pumped about three ounces of milk and was ready to give the bottle to my baby. It’s important to mention that with my firstborn, she wouldn’t take a bottle easily because she was used to being breastfed. This was fine when I was home with her, but when I had to leave her with someone else, it was always a gamble because sometimes she took the bottle and sometimes she refused. When she did take the bottle, it would take her a few tries to get a good latch. I wasn’t sure what to expect this time around. To my surprise and amazement, my newborn took the bottle immediately! She treated it like my own breast, and she started eating right away. I would remove the bottle from her mouth occasionally to burp her, and she burped right away, which also surprised me because when I usually burp her after a feed, it takes a few minutes. As the Natural Response Nipple promised, she was only able to get milk out of the bottle when she was actively feeding. It didn’t just come spilling out, which is great because no breastmilk was wasted. I could her hear take big swallows, which is so important when making sure baby is actually getting enough milk. The Flow 2 nipples that were included in the box were perfect for her. I love the look and feel of the glass bottle. It might be a bit heavier than a traditional plastic bottle, but I think it’s worth it for the health and safety of my family. The two silicone sleeves (one for the 4 oz. and one for the 8 oz. bottles) were a nice addition, especially when the bottle needs to be warmed. Again, I pumped and immediately fed my baby specifically for this review, but the silicone sleeve will be used when grandma needs to feed her. The silicone sleeve was easy to put on the bottle, and I liked how the it had a space so you can see the measurements and how many baby is eating without having to remove the sleeve. If any breastfeeding mamas out there are looking for a bottle to give baby along with the breast, I highly recommend the Philips Avent Natural Newborn Glass Bottles. I was given this bottle set to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and they happen to be the only glass bottles in Canada that fit onto a Spectra Pump!! I’m so thrilled to be able to pump directly into glass as opposed to plastic. The bottles themselves are very well made and are a nice ergonomic shape. I like that they have both the mL and oz measuring on the sides. I love the little silicone sleeves, they protect the bottle from when my toddler has her way with them haha, and when I pack them in my pumping bag it provides a bit of padding so the bottles don’t clang together. Also, the little window in the sleeves is nice so that I can see the measurements. My baby is breast and bottle fed and has no problem with the nipples. She seems to be able to pause and swallow with no issues. Overall I highly recommend these glass bottles - we really prioritize minimizing plastic in our home - so thank you Aventi for making these amazing bottles!!!

I received this bottle set for free to test through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. We love, love, LOVE these bottles. My twins are mainly breastfed so finding a bottle that they like can be a challenge. My twins had an easy time taking these bottles, I feel that the design mimics the breast so they were easily able to latch onto the bottle and the pace of the feeding was good. My babies didn't gulp down the bottles and they didn't choke at all while drinking. My babies seemed to enjoy the bottles as they were able to drink at their own pace. Usually after drinking a bottle they have a lot of gas and spit up a lot, this did not happen after using these Avent bottles. I like the shape of the bottle as it is easy to hold (especially when holding one in each hand for feeding twins) and the silicone sleeve adds grip and protection incase you or your baby happens to drop the bottle. I love the colour of the included silicone sleeves as well. When turning the bottle upside down the bottle did not drip or leak any milk, the lids screw onto the bottle nice and smooth and the cap fits nice and tight. The quality of these bottles is amazing, we did not have any issues with leakage at all with these bottles. It makes me feel good as a parent knowing that the bottles are made from glass and that they are BPA free. The bottles are well made and feel solid, the measurement lines on the bottles are dark and the bottles hold up well in the dishwasher (another perk of the glass is that you don't have to worry about BPA or chemicals leaching out of the bottles after dishwasher use). Overall, I cannot think of a reason not to love these bottles. I would highly recommend every parent to try these bottles. You won't be disappointed!
