I bought this pump as it was marketed to be of great comfort and ease of use, also cheaper than The premiere brand Mendela. Breast pumps are expensive and you would think that with that price it would atleast work for a long time. Im a first time mom and breastfeeding is important for me. I used the pump to extract milk that my bAby can drink at night or when we go out. After using a new double ectric Avent breast pump for 2 weeks 3xa day i notice that 1 pump is not pumping as efficient as the other one. Also there were times that even when pumping for an hour i will only get 20-30 ml even though whdn i manually extract milk i can see that i have lots of milk. I wanted to exchange at babies r us but since its used they do not allow it, how can i get a replacement with Avent as I fear that i got a faulty product

Inefficient in expressing milk
I've been pumping for 20-30minutes and my breats still aren't empty
I still need to do a manual hand expression and i can still get a lot of milk

I purchased the double electric breastpump just after my first child was born and pumped approx 5+ times a day, and 2 months into pumping the actual motor to the pump quit.
I am extremely disappointed because I enjoyed my experience with the pump and cannot afford a replacement

Rated 1 out of 5 by Cortney Low suction after minimal use
I am a stay at home mom. I pumped somewhat frequently after my don was born. Usually once daily to build a stash in the freezer. My pump worked great for about the first 2-3 months. At that time I stopped pumping regularly because my son would not take a bottle, so why bother! 6 months later my stash had expired, but my son would now drink from a sippy cup. I wanted to re-build a stash so I started pumping again. After sitting for 6 months unused it now has very little suction even on the highest setting. In fact, I can easily remove the flanges from my breast without breaking "suction" because there is none! Using a hand pump I get 5-6 ounces from one 10 minute session, using this electric pump I get maybe 1/2 oz in 20-30 minutes of pumping.

I purchased this pump because it looked more comfortable then others and also the price was better. I started using the pump and had nipple pain, the shells were too small. I ordered and tried the larger size shells and even tried the pump without them and it still did not fit. This pump caused damage to my nipples. I had a lactation consultant confirm that the pump was the problem
WARNING - if you are not a small size then this is a waste of your money and will likely cause you a lot of pain. This pump only has one size flange available!
Since the pump didn't fit all they could say was sorry. I now have to save to get another pump. Very disatisfied with this product.

The tubes are so short I can barely put the pump next to me without them detaching from the breast shields. The bottles attached are small and rounded so they will not comfortable rest on a pillow for support, I have to literally hold them both up against me so the don't slip and break suction. This pump was also painful to get used to. The flower petals designed for comfort only increase chaifing.

This pump offers little to no suction and gets very little milk. Also motor does not last long before dying. This pump has made my pumping experience a nightmare.

I also have a Medela breast pump and prefer the AVENT one. The massage pads are not only comfortable, but also create a nice fit against the breast. The pump is lightweight and portable and I like the sleek black travel bag, which is great for work! The parts are easy to assemble and clean. I agree with other reviewers that the pump is loud, but it’s not a deal breaker for me.
