How does 'Automatic picture format' work in Philips TV?

'Automatic picture format' feature automatically fits the picture to the screen and fills as much of the screen as possible.

To select 'Automatic picture format' press the remote 'Screen format' button repeatedly until 'Automatic' is selected.
