Awesome breast pumpWow I was so excited to try a new breast pump and with The Philips Avent Single Electric Breast Pump it gave me pure happiness to know that I finally have a pump that works great and was so easy to use. I love how it has a variety of settings of low, medium and high to use when wanting to pump. It was extreamly light weight. It was very easy to carry & Store when not in use. I really loved how it was so nice to actually be able to sit comfortably while pumping and not have to learn forward. It allowed me to pump a lot easier and actually enjoy the pumping process. The pump was extreamly easy to set up and very easy to clean. I liked the soft massaging cushion that stimulates my breast allowing me to pump and get that milk out of me for my baby. I loved the Natural Baby bottle my baby took to it very well and had no problems with it. With the Single Breast pump its very nice because it does allow me to pump on one side while feeding my baby on the other if need be. i really like that you can also pump right into the bottle that makes for easier feedings for my child. I loved this product and I would highly recommend The Philips Avent Single Electric Breast pump to all my mommy friends who breastfeed. Thanks To WeeSpring Parent Panel I got to receive this product for Free in exchange for my honest review... [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Milk constantly leaks around the flangeI’ve tried every size insert for this pump and no matter what I do I have to use two hands to keep a seal between the flange and the comfort or power suction inserts. I tried using the pump without an insert which works half decent however the flange is too big for my nipples therefore I’m unable to get much milk at all. (Written for my wife)

Good Pump for Occasional UseSince I’m no longer working full time, I don’t need to pump as much but if I do need to I don’t want to break ou the “big guns,” so to speak. I think this pump is best for women who only need to pump one breast at a time, pump occasionally, or to quickly relieve engorgement in the early breastfeeding days. This could potentially be good for travel too, it’s fairly low profile and not too loud. This pump came in handy when I wanted to pump a little bit of milk when my baby started solids, to mix some milk in with her food. This would also be helpful if you just want to make a small bottle. However, this pump would not be good for a working mom or exclusive pumping mom who needs to pump multiple times a day.
This pump was user friendly to set up and start using. Thera are three large buttons that indicate the suction/strength level. Pretty self explanatory. One thing I wish was different was that the suction speed was a little faster. Disassembling and cleaning the pump was easy too. I like that the kit came with an Avent Natural bottle, it’s always nice to try different bottles. I did find that the nipple was a little fast but for some babies this might be a good thing!

It’s leaking....I’m hugely dissapointed, the connection between the pump and the bottle is leaking no matter what I do... in the situation when mother fights for the literally each drop of milk to the baby all this leaking thinkg is very painful.

not very effectivei am a working mom so i have to pump 3-4 times/day. this product is not suitable for my need since it does not pump the milk effectively: part of the breast gets engorged due to the machine.
i do not recommend it for a daily use

Don't BuyI've been using this pump for a little over two months. If I could return it, I would. Often, after dissembling to clean, I can't get the thing to pump properly again. I find myself constantly adjusting the parts in order to get proper suction. I could live with this, however, even though it is annoying, since I always manage to get it working eventually.. The worst part of this pump for me is the leaking. Milk is constantly dripping out and getting on my clothing. No matter how careful you are while using this, there is always a mess. Also, the pump does not screw on tightly to the bottle, no matter how hard you tighten (this seems to be a problem with avent bottles in general.) If you put the pump down and it accidentally tips or if milk gets too close to the top of the bottle, you have a huge mess on your hands. I'm sure there are better pumps out there. I would not recommend this.

True to the Philips Avent brandFirst, I must tell you I received a free pump in exchange for my honest review. This pump is pretty similar to the other Philips Avent pump I have used. A nice thing about this pump is that you don`t have to lean forward to use it so it can be a bit more comfortable (comfort is key to pumping!). I have a strong letdown and for others like me, if you are using a single you may want to have an extra bottle/cup to catch milk from the other side while you pump.
I am honestly not a huge fan of pumping in general (I AM a fan of breastmilk but typically find pumping to be less comfortable and more work than breastfeeding) so a few tips for those who are new to pumping and think this pump (or any pump) is not working for them: Comfort is important. If you are stressed or scared of using the pump, do your best to calm down. I know it sounds silly but dim the lights, play relaxing music, breathe deeply, and think warm thoughts about your baby. If you are using a single and have the ability to, try pumping on one side while feeding your baby on the other. I found it helped me get used to pumping and I generally was able to get more milk this way.
